Wheelchair athletes would dominate all distance running over 400mNo. There would be complaints that it didn't get the coverage even though they couldn't put out a competitive field.
The only "equal" solution is to do away with all categories and just have a single open category for everyone.
I read your post and thought what is he on about. Had a look at the world records and was totally surprisedWheelchair athletes would dominate all distance running over 400m
It's difficult to not mix up gender and sex when there is no common language available to do otherwise. The historical blurring of the lines is where a lot of the problems in trans-discourse come from (and why people use "cis"). You've said yourself that if someone is a transwoman then they are female. How do I describe the sexed version of a ciswoman without going through some verbal gymnastics. "Biological Female" is probably the best I can come up with so I hope that's acceptable. You don’t need to put female in inverted commas borolad259 if indeed they were transgender, in which case their gender is female. If they were not transgender then they are male gender.
Also message to all, please do not mix up gender and sex, the 2 are different.
Finally, yes let’s have a decision that effects/penalises the least number of people rather than trying to be inclusive. We should maybe run all of our decisions like this ey? It’s not a nice thing to do but heck it effects the least number of people.
Nice.
What sports?what happens when that 50% stop participating (it is already happening in some sports)?
Swimming and cycling are two I've read about recently. What sports?
This account (or was it Rob FMTTM, please correct me either way) outrageously equated transexualism with paedophilia before quickly deleting the thread - without apology - after being called out by many on the board. So opinion is severely tainted. That would totally unfair on 50% of the population.
Do you think sporting organisations mandating teenage girls provide menstruation information will have an effect on participation?Swimming and cycling are two I've read about recently.
I still don't understand the obsession with trans. I have never seen a thread on whether or not F40 athletes should be allowed to compete with F61 and I would imagine there are far more disabled athletes than trans.
It's odd.
It is disappointing, and maybe the phrasing could be better, suspected of being trans makes it sound like a criminal offence.
Maybe me just being a bit touchy as I know the difficulties my daughter and other trans people go through.
A male versus female category is not equal. Physically we are not equal across sexes. The disparity in speed strength, force from females to males across the same weight category in combat sports as example is vast. The female frame will not have the same resistance to impact as a males. This is not equality.I'd get rid of all the barriers in sport and just let men/women/trans all compete against each other. You want equality well there you go.
Obviously some sports have weight categories so I'd keep them but still let everyone compete together in their weight category.
I don't think anyone is campaigning to allow an F40 athlete to compete with an F61 athlete.I still don't understand the obsession with trans. I have never seen a thread on whether or not F40 athletes should be allowed to compete with F61 and I would imagine there are far more disabled athletes than trans.

"You don’t need to put female in inverted commas borolad259 if indeed they were transgender, in which case their gender is female. If they were not transgender then they are male gender."
Well, yes I did. Because they were competing in that category.
I am also not privy to such personal details as whether or not they had undergone gender re-assignment surgery.
I think it's this story that you're referring to:It is disappointing, and maybe the phrasing could be better, suspected of being trans makes it sound like a criminal offence.
