All this let's replace Michael Carrick talk

Its this messing about with the ball at the back i cant stand hopefully he will have learned his lesson today or else he is for the chop.
Counterpoint: Consider that Michael Carrick knows more about football than you, and what works and what doesn't.

The arrogance of this "hopefully he will have learned his lesson" shtick.

Be careful what you wish for...

Last season we clearly over-achieved when he came in, we had all the luck in the world with Chuba and the loans and as a result some of our fans are now kicking off with their sense of promotion / play off entitlement.

We're victims of our own success last season and so to a point I get the frustration. But this is a medium term project and I've no doubt the plan is promotion in 2 to 3 years built on a Brighton / Brentford foundation.

We're investing in young gems and some will come good and make us good money, some won't. But for the first time in forever we have a plan built on sustainability, small steps forward and long term security. We'll hit potholes along the way, let's stop getting our knickers in a twist especially considering some of the rubbish and lack of gameplan we've had to endure in the last 12 or 13 years, AK years excepted.

Let's go to Bolton with a strong squad, smash them then do the same to QPR next week.

It's good to read such a sensible and balanced post amongst some of the less rationale ones on here.

A tough start was always on the cards, given fairly major rebuild was required due to the players we've lost, all of which bar the goalkeeper, are realistically impossible to replace like for like.

Despite the poor defending yesterday I actually thought we deserved to get something.

We had done good chances, more than WBA, the first goal shouldn't have did and the sending of was very unlucky.

But we have looked very fragile at times and that's the big concern at the moment
