We were very aware of Alioski, Victor Orta left us and took Alioski to Leeds as his 1st signing .
He is now OOC and available , reportedly wanted in Turkey with a £500k signing on fee and £20k per week being offered. I really like him and know he would do a job , if we could persuade him to come. Quality , busy player, and a leader .
Macedonias top player.
He could still live in his house and commute to Rockliffe easily, which must have some pull.

Pritchard? He's been poor and struggled for fitness for about 4 years. Maybe as a back up but we've got Morsy, Howson, Payero, Tav, McNair, Malley and Hackney. That's enough isn't it for midfield?

Morsy , Howson , McNair , Pajero, more CM / DM, Malley and Hackney , work in progress and may go out on loan, Tav 1st name on the sheet when fit, but when out, is Wing the answer ? Pritchard as AM is my suggestion as cover/ competition for Tav.

Cover for Tav, maybe as a bit of experience. We don't really play with a 10, not sure Pritchard has the same kind of box to box work rate as someone like Tav to play as an 8. Pritchard doesn't really have many goals in him either 10 goals in 5 years, it's only 1 more than Morsy. I wouldn't be against signing him, but I think there are better options, Bannan?

Looks like Sunderland are up to their old tricks with Pritchard, decent 4 years ago with a terrible injury record who they will likely have to give a big contract to take him away from championship sides. Will be lucky to get 20 games out of him

Alioski turned down a new deal at Leeds as he either wanted a move abroad or cos he couldn’t agree wages. There is no way he is signing for us. He played 36 games last season at prem level and did really well.

He's been in Sunderland today according to reports on twitter.

A few years ago I would have said yes. Now? A definite no.

bannan is quality, but older,at 31,and under contract, so for that reason a no for me .
NW likes him ,as I do, but I hope we don't get saddled with old players.
Peltier at 34 was a strange signing for me, surely we should be looking for younger players with sell on value.
Elliott ,Wilson, Nelson, Delap, would suit, NW will decide, Wallace ,Powell, Windass would be great , but I fear finances will limit us.

Agreed Block, looks like he wants to go abroad. If Leeds valued him they would have offered new terms, but didn't , for a reason .

Pritchard OOC , SAFC favourites to sign him, which means he is affordable to us. Age 28 , 18 games last season, but says he was fit, I think NW could get a tune out of him, even as cover for Tav and Pajero .
I can't see us signing a wingback tbh and prichard had one good season then injuries really affected him. I hope he goes to Sunderland and does really well.

Martín Payero is a done deal by the looks of it..

LB - Denver Hume - free from Sunderland
MF - Pelly Ruddock-Mpanzu - free from Luton
RW - Jed Wallace -been after him for AGES
ST - Michael Smith - was linked why wouldn't we be in for him?

'four or five before the season starts'

then we have loans and free transfers still to look at

He'll have a massive contract offer in some footballing backwater like Turkey or china already lined up

Warnock explained the reason for the Peltier signing.
Alioski still available and would be great, although agreed , it may be financially too much.
NW has some decent options to choose from
Ciaran Brown
Kean Bryan
Brendan Galloway
Zeki Fryers
Joe Bennett
Stephen Hendrie
Zaine Francis Angol
Corey Blackett Taylor ( Wigan interested )

Brown is more of a CB that can play LB we need a specialist full-back or wing-back
