AliExpress..... safe to use?

It’s not a scam site but a lot of the products are awful quality, had some bargains though. I’ve never fully trusted them with my payment details though, I’ve always used my prepaid currency card to buy, never had anything stolen or not turn up though.

I've used aliexpress loads of times and never had any issues, never paid any form of import tax and the delivery is usually pretty quick too (considering it comes from China).

The only negative for £10 headphones would be you do "get what you pay for" - I've gambled on similar deals and the quality has been rubbish.

Most the stuff you see on Amazon is the same stuff you see on AliExpress except someone has imported it and jacked the price up. I've bought stuff a few times from there and there are some great bargains to be had.

Most things cost a fraction of the price to make them we get charged. China have realised this and we can now access stuff much cheaper and it is good quality in the main if you know what you are looking for.

I buy coffee gear and watches and there are some products that are super cheap but rubbish, others that are good value but not perfect and some that are very high end in terms of materials and quality control but with a brand name you haven't heard of.

There are subreddits on Reddit with lots of great info and headphones in guessing come under r/chifi and you should be able to find info on there of which brands are worth buying and what should be avoided.

Id second this, bought a fair few things from them, no issues, and arrived usually within a week or 2.

I bought my daughter some cheap headphones off Amazon for when we travel. Similar price point to the ones linked. I can't describe how bad they are.

Never had an issue myself, but I've always done my research on the item beforehand.
Just bought an automatic field watch with a genuine Seiko movement off there and it is top quality. Same for my EKIY Android car stereo.

Bought lots of electronics from AE. Headphones generally are crap.
Look for Uk deals such as Lindy which can be bought in Boro from their factory. I think if you mention Fmttm then you might get a discount. Someone on here! Also EDIFIER are excellent and very well built with superb sound. 7dayshop online do a very good ANC pair.

Link is broken mate

I've purchased a couple of 'homage' San Martin watches off Ali Express with no issues other than the time if can take.

They were not cheap. Around £180 each so a bit of a gamble on arriving. Yet both turned up without any problems from somewhere in China. I think the first one arrived in 8 days and the second around 14-15.

I received tracking information for both. I think they were delivered by DHL once they arrived in the UK.

So I'd not overly be concerned about actually receiving the item. Although I've never purchased anything electrical. I payed with PayPal for both items.

I have a pair of these headphones and they are surprisingly good and comfortable for the price.
Not as good as my Bowers & Wilkins or AKG studio(both wired) in sound quality but perfect for what I wanted them for as a cheap and comfy Bluetooth headset for playing my Xbox with on an evening and they are better than some more expensive ones I have had.
