Alex Pritchard - leaving Sunderland

Gets injured a fair bit but he was probably in their best 5 players, it will weaken them.

Writing on the wall with Dack and Bellingham arriving but they’ve been cr6p so far and don’t lead their press like Pritchard does so a lot of upset mackems on this

He was excellent when he was at Brentford...but that was a looong time ago now.

After watching him for Brentford I thought he would have made a great addition to Karanka’s team.

Didn’t he get a bad knee injury - I don’t think he really recovered from that and certainly wasn’t the player he had been.

That's what I thought. I haven't seen enough of him recently to have a strong opinion of him but my memory is of a really naturally talented player, certainly good enough as a squad player for most Championship teams. Surprised that after losing a few that they are moving him on - maybe Dack arriving has changed things?

I think he's had a big renaissance at Sunderland, he was a shadow of the player before his injury troubles and got his career back on track there, albeit never to the same levels.

After his Brentford days, when he’s lined up against us he’s never really put in a performance that made him look half the player he was. Yet at Brentford you worried every time he got on the ball.

It is a shame his performances deteriorated after his injury, the future looked very promising for him.
