You swap in Bangura or Engel, Smith, and Hackney to that team (if we don't sign Howson/Ayling) we could have very good continuation into next season with a team that finished on form.

Either way he’s looking good for next season.

I don't think anyone said that about Gilbert, that I can remember.

He was definitely described as a failed signing, including by myself, as he cost nearly £1m as a first team player and has barely played at all, even when the squad was down to bare bones.

Nobody saw enough of him to even judge his ability.

I think most just wanted to see him play. He may have been managed right as another poster alluded too but whatever it is he’s looking good for next season.

As for Scott being a fraud I clearly regret that thread.

Dieng, Rogers, VDB, Latte Lath outstanding signings.

There is hope in Gilbert and Bangura.

Not convinced by Engel.

Would loan out Silvera.

Overall Scott has got us a decent squad we just need to add a few bits of real quality in the summer to take us to the next level.
 
We'll probably never know why he hasn't got more game time, but we should remember that aside for a poor loan at Swindon, he came from reserve team football.
He does look a capable player so hopefully he joins the ranks of lads saying that "Carrick made me a much better player".
 
I know pre season isn’t anything to judge anyone by but he actually performed really well in pre season so I was quite surprised he wasn’t involved much through out the season.
