Alex Bangura

It’s the ideal situation for Bangura. We have started terribly and Engel has had a tough start so there’s a real chance for Bangura to make the position his own. He must start vs Blackburn
 
According to this, Bangura is the fastest left back on FIFA 23. Obviously a computer game is not real life and a lot more is required to be an effective footballer than just pace; nevertheless, it’s given me a slight bit of hope through this despondent international break that he may be a slight improvement on Engels and Coulson.

It's been a while since we've had a truly wild / console game player ... type of player that keeps you on the edge of seat with 30%wow 70%wtf you do that for

Traore.. he was that stupidly fast no one else on the pitch knew what to do, team mates and defenders alike

Pogatetz.. another true wild card , might foul throw three times , might die for the cause from blood loss , might knee cap someone from 20 yards out

I like engel tbh, I don't think we've seen what he can do yet. Everything I read about him said he was great going forward and yet Carrick by his own admission has told him to stay back, removing his most effective weapons, while he is getting no protection from the forwards or midfield in front of him. It would be beyond bizarre for the club to have paid out the money they have for engel to replace him after 3 matches.

I do wonder if Carrick intends to use Bangura on the right. He has played right wing so wouldn't be a massive stretch to use him as an attacking right full back in a 433.

The signing seemed to come out of nowhere after Smiths performance.ance against WBA.
