The only concern I would have is if clowns throw it in the air when a goal is scored.

I understand that but the question I asked was ‘could you see it happening in the men’s game’ hence my comment on clowns throwing it in the air.

Perfectly fine to do it in France (I've watched PSG with a beer in hand) and in non-league here. Problem is there will be a very small minority who take it too far, those incidents will be publicised and the offer taken away. To be honest, it's that cold at the moment that it's multiple cups of tea needed, not beer!

To be fair I don't see it at matches either, I usually come in and head straight off for my seat and I don't bother going for a drink or food at half time, I just stay in my seat. I never had flu/ COVID from going to a match and that's because I avoid the concourse area , especially when it's packed in a confined area

Yeah great idea, your team scores drinks in the air as people jump up and those around get soaked. People getting up and down all game getting you out of the seat to let them by, blocking views in the process as they try to watch the game as they slowly walk along the row. It is bad enough as it stands streams of people getting up after 34 minutes to get to the bar.

If people need to drink at games, stay in the concourse and watch the tv’s, but better still wait till half time or the game is over, don’t spoil the experience for those of us who go to watch the match. Oh sorry, I forgot, drink is more important. If this happens it will turn a fair number of fans away, or cause more aggro between our own fans.

I followed Feyenoord for a couple of years, it was the norm there and there wasn't a problem. Nice during the warmer months.

It’s been mentioned on here before, but you can have a pint in the stands at RU/RL games and some idiots use part filled plastic pint glasses as weapons.
