Akpom - Sheff U

And the fact everyone uses Gestede as an example of a one season wonder or go back even further to Murphy at Ipswich. Doesn’t really back up their point. The main thing that changed with Akpom was his mentality and approach to games. If he keeps both those facets of his game, there is no reason why he can’t have a very successful second half to his career.

I blocked him for his immature personal name calling behaviour. I won’t take that in the real world from people so I won’t take it here. Block him move on, and let him shout at the wall and wonder why no one ever engages with him
Oh and here is Boromart with his with his perfect take on everything.😀
He’s done courses and read books. 👍

You did a little more than that. Aside from having a go at VAN, you called other posters idiots and told them to * off.

I don’t want this place to be a playground at all. People should be free to state their opinions and have those opinions challenged, and challenge other’s opinions. I don’t mind if things sometimes get a little heated, but there’s never any justification for making it personal and telling people that they must be an imposter because they have a different view to what you expect them to have.
Interesting that Boromart 😀 has so much to say when he hasn’t engaged for so long. Especially given his pious positioning.
William M and Sexpom please don’t worry about my state, trust me I am fine.

You just seem a little more chewy than usual 😅

I maybe being niave but for some reason I just don’t see him going to them.

If they can offer him more money and at least one season of Premier League football, I think he'll go.

They've been a better team than us for the last 5 years, even in the Championship, so it's not like it's a step down.

Everybody understands that "one season wonders" exist Lizards. In turn surely you understand that there also players who go on to have multiple good seasons yes? Thats not beyond the realms of possibility either.

Of course I do, and I hope he does and it's for us.

However he's been a professional footballer for a number of seasons, and so far he's had the one "great" season.

My point is simply that he's not a guaranteed 30 goal a season man, as history suggests that wont happen. Of course he could have turned a corner whether because of mindset, position, diet etc and have another amazing season.

What the **** is up with sheff utd? They just got a guaranteed 860000000000000)00000 by being promoted and they're selling all their players? Do they realise that they got promoted?
His contract expires June next year so he may have told them he wants to leave in which case they're trying to get something for him

He nearly left last window as well I think and then his fans were kicking off that he wasn't performing during that blip where we nearly caught them, before we forgot how to play football

Sheff Utd are desperately trying to stay up on more of a budget than Luton. Their owner is really milking the club. He should have sold the club over the summer and given them a fighting chance of staying up. I'm sure they wouldn't have wanted to sell Ndaiye and Berge. Both Ndaiye and Berge had one year on their contracts, so their finances have dictated that they can't risk losing them both for nothing next year (maybe the same with us for Akpom and McNair?).
With the two city lads they had on loan having also left, that's their four best players from last season gone. I think it will be a miracle if they somehow manage to stay up or even be competitive this season.

Sheff Utd fans are saying they don't mind selling Berge, it's to Burnley that's a problem, strengthing a possible relegation rival seems awful business to them.
Burnley's squad looks in decent nick.. SHeffield have their hands tied slightly and realise they dont want to just go down without a fight.. they just need to be better than three off these.. Luton, Forest, Bournemouth, Everton, Wolves, Fulham

Luton not looking too clever, Everton don't look like they've improved.. Wolves without Neves? The rest are on shaky ground..

Chuba would do the business for Sheffield.. unfortunatly

Sheffield U agree fee of £10.3m for DM Vini Souza .
Splashing the cash now they have the Berge sale .
Enough cash now to raise their offer for Chuba and up his salary .
