Akpom - Sheff U

He's in the last year of his contract and hasn't yet signed a new deal.

£8m is low but don't be surprised if the club are at least considering it. We're a selling club.

If we sell Akpom at £8m we are a pathetic club.
I don’t think they will at that price.
He is better than the bloke they shipped out to France.
Bausor a Sheff U fan so who knows.

They got £18m for N’Diaye , I expect negotiations to be between £8m - £15m and likely meet somewhere in the middle .

Good call the other night Simply. 👍. £8m is a joke and if this is the new model for the club then I dont really get it. Double would be about right in my eyes. Even then I would prefer to keep him. I can see the clubs lining up for Hackney now. Bend over and we’ll give you £5m.

To be fair. Ndiaye is only 23 years old and could easily go on to have a better and bigger career than Chuba Akpom so I do think his value should be higher than Chuba's.

However, both only have/had 1 year left on their contracts and I don't believe for one minute that Ndiaye should be worth double of Akpom.

Don't think we'd get £15m for Chuba, but I am hoping to get more than £8m.

A lot of it will depend on what Akpom is saying behind the scenes. I don't believe he has been pushing for a move but it won't surprise me if he tells the club he wants to move, if an official offer comes in from a Premier League club.

I believe this was the case with Tav. We rejected an initial bid from Bournemouth (we as fans felt the fee was too low) and then a week later we accepted when they made the same offer again.

My theory at the time was that Tav had probably told the club that he'd like to move after he'd heard about the offer being made, and the club then felt they had to sell him.

It could be a similar situation with Akpom. We reject the £8m offer, Akpom then says he wants to move but a higher offer doesn't come in, and we're potentially left with a player who is frustrated at missing out on a move to the Premier League.

I don’t think we’ll hear any more about Ndiaye. He’s newt flash at all.

Pip us to the riches and then take our best player for the Championship peanuts you dropped by getting promoted.

Yeah, sounds plausible. (n)

8m is a joke, but we aim to profit on all players we sign, or the majority of them.

Signed for 3m sold for 8m would only 2 years of his purchase will be on our next ffp. Selling for 8m would give us 6m extra space on our ffp. I’d still not sell for less than 10-12 personally

£8m wouldn't surprise me at all. We all thought we'd get a lot more than we did for Gibson, Tav and Spence.
