Akpom - Sheff U

I think he would probably go for around £9m + add ons(avoiding relegation, winning a cup, lifetime ban for Chris Wilder) that type of thing.

I just wish the Akpom saga would come to a speedy end..

Never was injured.
Agent has most probably been touting him about with no takers.
Looks very unlikely he would sign a new contract.
Take what we can get and reinvest in a couple of badly needed players.

I do think he's been injured, but that's also probably a bit of a convenient excuse. If a bid does come in then we need to accept or reject it quickly so we can move on.

It's a little disrespectful to call akpom a liar. I would have thought he would just keep quiet if he wasn't injured.

I was in the same boat with our current model I.e Tav and spence sales but at this point losing him we’d be absolutely in the **** and we’d really need to hit the jackpot with signings

Not sure their owner will be keen to spend money on a 28 year old that he might not be able to sell on for profit. Seems he just wants to pocket the tv money and try and stay up on the cheap. I can imagine the manager being keen, more about convincing the owner!

The chairman did an interview saying there is one player they will break their wage structure for as the manager really wants him .
Could have been Souza , could be Akpom . Soon see .

Heckingbottom's short fuse when things ain't going swimmingly might see him gone before the window closes.

No point in straying from your recruitment model to keep someone happy who's likely to be gone in a matter of months, if not weeks when the hammerings commence.
