As a direct result of private conversations between Mel Morris and Steve Gibson both parties are pleased to announce that they have reached an accord on a resolution of the claims by Middlesbrough Football Club against Derby County Football Club, and others.

ah now a payment to charity comment is out there. The saving face bit is right. That clown Morris hates the idea of being beaten in the long game by Gibson. He would take a 3m payment to charity as punishment (knowing he can offset it for tax purposes). Hopefully Gibson sticks to his guns

It's Morris' preferred vehicle. Jordan, the BBC and Sky have all said below 6 million.

The fact that Derby choose to believe this rag shows they are still in with the Mel cult.
 
I wonder what the resolution is.
I can't imagine Gibson just admitted defeat, or that Morris paid his dues.
 
I hope Gibson has got Morris to agree to giving him a 25% stake in the stadium. Means he'll get his money when they buy it back. Hopefully he holds out for the full £80m

Must be an agreement with Gibson saying he is very happy and got what he wanted. Doesnt sound like just an agreement to cover a future settlement to me.
