It depends on what you class as a midfield, also it depends on what happens around them. Grant scored far fewer in the season we went up than the season when we only made the play offs.

Yep, they weren't in there to score goals. They had a clear role and did it brilliantly. The system worked (we were promoted) and that was team was an excellent example of a well thought through method of play which got results.

Marten De Roon i think.
Grant probably did in the play off season but that would include penalties.

Can't think of any more? Barry Robson perhaps? Although he tended to play on the right.

Wing scored 7 under Woodgate.
Ramirez scored 7 under Karanka.

It's not 7, but Saville managed 6 last season and probably should have had more.

Most of them were penalties but it's an extra skill that allowed us to do well that season.

Nothing wrong with penalties. Lampard and Gerrard took penalties and people creamed themselves over their goal scoring records.
