A point gained last night.

It’s time to calm down and look at the bigger picture, we got away with one last night, Stoke were the better team, and coming away with a point , although disappointing it’s a point gained, we could of easily lost that match.
We never really clicked as a team, our quick passing tempo was off, and credit to Stoke, they had a game plan, kept our danger men quiet for the most part, and targeted our weak areas of the pitch, our left sided defence been one of them.
So no panic, we dust ourselves down and go again against Preston on Saturday.

I guess pressure could also have played a part. We just couldn't get going, were short of pace, and it seemed like Stoke had an extra man at times. Our centre halves were standing still with the ball at times with no clear option ahead of them. I'm sure we'll be back at it against Preston.

I'd have liked to see us launching some diagonal balls to their box last night just to switch it up as we always try to play through teams, even when it's not working. I realise Archer won't win many aerial duals but going direct might have tested Stoke in a different way.

Yeah, I wish Crooks was ok to be involved as he would have been a good option to bring on last night. Nevermind

I can only really see it as a point gained if Sunderland win tonight.

At least if we're viewing it through an automatic promotion lens.

Through a play-off lens, it ensures we're at worst 6 points clear of 7th with 9 games to go.

The reality is well only know once the season is over. But as others have said sheff u will slip up between now and may so it’s the championship no o e wins every game.

In response to the opening poster our slick passing game was off because the pitch was too heavily watered. It allowed Stoke players to get closer to us. (Sorry I sound like a stuck record about this - I really hope that someone at the club has noticed and had a word with the ground staff)

Definitely a point gained. Even with the fact we went 1-0 up.

Never at any point did I fancy us to take the 3 points.

I actually thought during the game we'd get beat, so definitely a point gained IMO.

But we play Luton soon so we have the chance to extend that.

It’s the sides we don’t play like millwall that concern me.
If Millwall catch us now we weren't getting top two anyway.
What will be galling is if we catch Sheff Utd but finish 3rd behind Luton.

Something that sticks in my mind and I don't even know why, or if it is relevant.
People seem to forget that despite Forest's great run and the fact they almost reeled Bournemouth in last season, they actually finished fourth.

We were never going to win the last ten games. Stoke are in good form and have some good players as well. It definitely seems to me like a good point, but does mean we need to beat Preston on Saturday.

I think it was more to do with the stuff that came out of the sky wasn't it?

It wasn't a good performance but we got the point. Whether it was a good result or not we won't know unitl the end of the seanon. If Sunderland win tonight then it gives us another opportunity to take advantage. We all want to win every game, but realistically it's not going to happen and we were bound to drop points at home at some point.

We need to be midfull of those chasing us and not just us chasing Sheff U

We need to focus on securing a play off place and then see where we are in regards to possible autos

2-3 weeks ago on paper it looked a fairly straight forward run in but those teams are now starting to put runs together and gaining form, example Preston

We are a good team, we just need to focus and continue doing the right things that have got us here

It's a point gained for me, 7 home wins on the spin before last night so taking us to 22 out of 24 points is excellent.

Stoke played well and nullified us we never imposed ourselves on the game but we've got another home game on Saturday to re-start another run, as we've seen with previous blips we've bounced back only difference we got a point out of this blip.

At full time it felt like 2 points dropped but having watched back the highlights and slept on it, definitely lucky to get a point. They are a dangerous team, it's a shame they don't play Sheff United/Luton again as they could have done us a favour.

Preston will be no mugs either, they are tough to score against.
