A minutes applause for Shaun Morgan next home game.

I think when you are concentrating on the match, try as you might, the minute's applause during a game can go from your mind. But so many people will have been thinking of Shaun before and after the game and paying their respects to someone that obviously went above and beyond in his support the club he loves on a distant shoreline.

Just wanted to thank those who took the time to applaud for Shaun. Maybe I didn't spread the word far enough as I heard from someone there that there wasn't hardly any clapping.

Anyway for those who want to join us we will be having a day to remember Shaun in Guisborough at some point (probably new year now) and Shauns son and daughter will be there and it would be nice for those who met Shaun to come join us and talk about him to the family.

I will post on here when a date is confirmed.

Count me and my partner in thank you

We're over in Teguise in Feb and I was looking forward to going in and watching a game. Had planned to take over some Boro memorabilia for Shaun for the bar. Will be raising a glass in his memory when we're over there.

I did notice some people clapping in the lower East Stand (I sit in the West) but on the 54th min we had a shot then a corner and had everyone on the edge of their seat that may well have been a distraction.

HI ALL

Ok so it transpires a family member has spoken to someone from Red Faction and they are again promoting on socials for a minutes applause on 54th minute of the Ipswich game on Saturday

I don't have any involvement in this however I thought it would be good for you guys to be aware and hopefully the momentum takes a roll for Saturdays game.

I appreciate everyone's involvement in this.

Probably the only way it's going to work is to get the south stand to kick it off.

For Shaun thinking of you
And Heidi and family

Going back to the debate it wasnt noticable but good on you for doing it.

Did the terry venables applause have an impact or are fans just not buying into these personal requests anymore? (It wasnt the 1st and wont be the last not to get one). None of the other people I attended the game with were aware - not everyone comes on here who attends games.

Im with the one rememberance a season suggestion for all boro fans who have lost their lives like what we got at the opening game but with messages and images for those who wish to have them displayed on the big screen
I agree with this. I think the first few got picked up and had a lot of people doing them as it was unique, unfortunately it's now at the point where there are sometimes multiple minutes in each game that people want them for, and that's only going to lead to disappointment if people cant promote it effectively. A lot of fans will pass so I'd even say do 3 of them - one in the opening game, one in the Christmas fixture as it is well attended & one in the final game of the season - all 3 should be busy games and give people the best opportunity to remember the whole stadium clapping instead of small groups that may have seen a tweet or come on here and hoping it spreads, and people without any social media clout don't get left out of it, and means not a massive amount of time for people to wait until the next one, and you'd have the whole stadium doing it
