very true. Personally there are very few Boro shirts that I've immediately been repulsed by and even they tend to grow on me a little once I've watched the team play in them.
 
It wouldn't hurt having some sort of forum with a select bunch, probably the heads of the supporters clubs or something, and just show them a few designs just to get a feel. Not everyone is going to agree, but they would certainly get an idea of what issues the wider fan base might have (sponsor too cluttered, red too plain, collar) etc
 
You see these people on Twitter with kit concepts. Some are outstanding. I wish the club would work with these people and then put a vote out to the fans around what they want
 
on religious and betting grounds, surely under the equality act you can refuse to buy a shirt with a sponsor on.

Everton and Leeds boycotted the change of badges due to pressure of the fan base. Honestly as fans we should boycott and shirts with a betting company splashed over over.

That kit is horrible
 
Or even better organise some focus groups, you know, actually ask the customer what they want.

A crazy idea I know.

I actually don't mind it too much and I always think the overall kit has to be seen before you can judge the shirt on its own, but then I never buy one.
 
I won’t buy it or any shirt with a gambling logo on. That’s just me and wouldnt begrudge anybody with a differing view. I have no particular dislike for the shirt per se but I’m not a big fan of the white band. It was great in the 70s but not these days. Prefer all red.
