55 years ago today at Ayresome Park

Went to all three games with my Dad, stood in the North-East Corner. Remember standing in the East End the previous season before the seats went in and the roof being built. There were two huge holes in that terracing with some red and white tape around them to warn supporters not to fall down them. No danger of that happening as the East End was pretty much empty as we slowly got relegated. Interestingly, you could still see the lower part of the scoreboard at the back of the terracing directly behind the goal. Don't know if anyone else can remember that.

Somebody mentioned value - I sold the three tickets still in the original packet to a lad in York for about £100 apiece several years back but the showpiece prog was not worth a great deal - £25-35 at the time. Lad in York bought them after an ad in the Yorkshire Post.

I've still got the prog but that is all now
