4pts gap & now it’s ‘game on’

The way the Sheff Utd manager is with his players at the moment is how Wilder became here. He’s losing (lost?) the dressing room.
Never rated him. If carrick had that sheff utd side they’d be untouachble, As on paper you’d say there slightly stronger than us. But everything else is in our favour

Anyone else just adamant this is our year? Whether it’s play offs or top 2 I just can’t not see boro getting promoted

Just a quick glance and their forum has a fair few fans worrying, alarmingly.

A good few think within the next 4/5 games we'll overtake them.

Our next 6 fixtures look nice on paper, except for West Brom away - however, we know it doesn't work like that. Whereas their next 6 on paper aren't very nice at all.

I still cant wrap my head round how they are still being allowed to operate given that they owe the PFA £15m for missed transfer payments that the PFA have made to other clubs on their behalf..

I would ask if the EFL have learnt nothing from the Derby debacle, but we all know the answer to that.

I think the next 2 games will determine theirs and our seasons. If we win them and they fail to win both they'll have blown it.

I assume their board will be shiitting bricks as if they don't go up it might be a fire sale to cover transfer outgoings?

Knocking back bids in January thinking you are 13 points clear of third may seem like a good bet.

Four or five points clear at the end of Feb, losing games and players off form probably doesn't feel quite as rosy.

Apparently they have 10 players out of contract in the summer and 4 loan players returning. I think they are clearly banking on getting promoted to temporarily sort out their financial problems. I can see them coming straight back down, unless they get a new owner, who then spends like Forest have done, on an entirely new team and perhaps even a new manager.

It's very delicately poised at the moment. We've done very well to close the gap to 4 points but if they beat Watford next and we lose to WBA then the gap is back to 7 points with them having a game in hand. Suddenly, overtaking them would seem like a massive ask again.

It's an obvious thing to say but so important that we keep up the pressure for now, as they have a tough run of games. If they can come through it though I don't see us overtaking them.
