4pts gap & now it’s ‘game on’

The Sheffield forum is in meltdown because they know they have a 3rd rate manager, a talented group of players who got them mainly in the position they are in but now they’ve hit a bump have zero faith in him to rescue it.
Boro steaming up the table isn’t helping.
I can’t see them beating Watford (who were great at Burnley with juao Pedro back) next Saturday and so if we can get past WBA (big ask) it’ll 1 pt with a game in hand but by then Sheffield will essentially have ‘shot their bolt’ because large sections of the fans don’t want the manager so little unity which bodes well for us

Reading numerous posts on their board, you’d think it was terminal (!)
They essentially think they have been lucky upto now…

They certainly have a tough run of games though so do we - Watford [ ooops scratch that, we done them already - I was even thinking - ..we can win 2v0 :) ] next: WBA & soon Burnley.. & then Cov last day of the season (hopefully they'll be either or out of the playoff contention (protecting players or nothing to play for)

Each game as it comes though there will be no easy points as we saw yesterday.

This set of games for Sheff Utd is esp tough as all clubs pushing for a playoff spot & they have an FA Cup game too. I do think a manager losing it as he did is never a good sign & the players we're losing it in the game yesterday too.. they'll pick up bans if they keep that up.

And the managers interview after yesterday’s game on sky, critical of his players for their goals conceded, not good for morale doing it on camera which shows a manager under severe pressure. It certainly doesn’t inspire unity in the dressing room

we are in their heads...

We have tough games too at Swansea and wedt brom too. Also huddersfield vs warnock and luton away last game looks tasty

I think it's just how football fans are in general, doom and gloom one week, probably capable of a push for Europe if they go up the next.

Their board dynamics will be totally different if they beat Watford without too much trouble, and we lose or probably even draw with the Baggies.

Just watched Heckingbottom’s IV from yesterday. Comes across as a team that are fighting at the bottom rather than flying at the top. They’ve totally lost their heads. We just need to keep plugging away, I’m certain that this is in our hands.

Controversial.. but I don’t think Sheffield United deserve to go up!

I hope Sunderland (Mowbray) smash them at Wembley!

Don’t think they parted on good terms did they?
It could be forgiven, some are calling him "Agent Wilder" as without his 'input' early this season they reason they'd be already screwed for the autos by now.

On the flip side of the coin they also would have terrors at him giving THEM that sort of run of results...🙄

Their fans have completely sh*t the bed since Wednesday, their forum has made for some good reading.

I think McBurnie and Norwood are both on 9 yellow cards at the minute so they’re walking a very close line to suspension. Would mean missing 2 games.
