2nd Test v West Indies at Barbados

Can you imagine how many runs Root would get in a good team that dominates bowling attacks instead of having to struggle through carrying the batting line up all the time.
 
Great day at the cricket yesterday. Just about to set off for day 2. Looking forward to seeing Stokes in full flow. England getting past that 400 mark, having a crack at the West Indies later on today. It’s a faff on getting into the stadium but all worthwhile. A few Boro flags out here.

The more I watch of these test matches, the more I see little shoots of hope for the future. Change of backroom staff is clearly helping. Where have we seen this before, try the riverside UTB
I keep dropping hints to the misses about heading out to watch England away, one day perhaps.
 
Stokes and Root doing brilliantly. If Lees got out early yesterday, the whole game might have been very different. Whilst he only got 30 or so, it set up the exciting middle order of Lawrence & Stokes and hopefully Bairstow later, allowing them to play positively instead of them coming in at 30-3 and under pressure.

Pitch is playing its part of course.
 
Might regret throwing some of them wickets away when windies start batting.
600 should have been minimum on that pitch.
