2021 Holidays

We were booked to visit my Auntie in Austria in April which had been rolled over from December. Easyjet just cancelled the flights which suggests they don't hold much hope for things being opened back up by then which is a depressing thought.

Other than that giving a foreign holiday a miss this year. Make the most of these shores this year I reckon
Nightmare...I've recently booked a hotel in Austria for April in the hope that things would be more accessible by then. Reading this thread hasn't filled with me with confidence...

Absolutely on our bucket list. We were about a week away from purchasing a motorhome in July and then I got made redundant so had to pull the plug. Now I'm gainfully employed again it's back on the cards and that will be one of our first trips once its possible to do so. Prob do a couple of shorter trips first to get accustomed to the vehicle, one to RHB and one to the lakes, but once we've done those, the 500 is right up there
You won’t regret it. we paid the mortgage off 3 years ago so decided to get a motorhome, had some great weekends and holidays, including a few weeks around. Belgium and France. Do your homework before you take the plunge and maybe join an owners forum.

Yep, I think that's sound advice, looking forward to the adventures 👍

Sweden ASAP ... I hopefully to our place late Spring (still snow and ice but also sun).
Greece in August (pretty much a certainty).

Would like to have a weekend in Barcelona along the way too, to visit friends.

West coast of Scotland if we can fit it in.

Booked a Villa in Fuengirola for two weeks in October which we can carry over to 2022 if needed. Will wait on flights until the summer. At the moment only Jet2 fly to Malaga from Newcastle and they are expensive. Hopefully Easyjet and Ryanair bring out flights as a bit of competition. Looking forward to a bottle of San Miguel while watching us on the telly in the Premier League!

When in Fuengirola, If yo like seafood, La Paz Garrido was always corking (v Spanish).

Dependant upon the situation, I am hoping to visit friends in Central France for a few weeks in May/ June Only have to book the flights so I can leave it till the last minute and go via train or flight. Then hope to go to Goa for the usual month over Christmas. Really missed the sun this year although our Summer wasn’t half bad.

Still (if anyone remembers what I said almost a year ago) pinning my hopes on a post October 2021 holiday!
I suspect it will be a Canary Islands thing. My confidence is dented somewhat but we can only hope that these vaccinations will get us over the line

In summer might be heading for Peru to do the Inca trail. Then Hoping to get to Finland next November to catch up with a friend I know in Helsinki maybe do Northern light and LapLand

Both of these things sound amazing. They are on my bucket list but I’m nowhere near doing either. Both are pretty pricey and it’s hard to find people who’ll commit to such trips!

have a great time. I hope these things go ahead

Won’t be going abroad anywhere this year, especially as my main holiday is usually skiing and nothing will be sorted by then.

I think me, mrs Jostler and the little one are going to get a cottage / house in the countryside somewhere with my parents and my sisters family for a week all being well.

To be honest any kind of staycation where I get to have a few beers in a country pub and preferably some nice local caught fish, will feel like the greatest thing ever this year!

Just had the CEO on the townhall meeting today stating that he's hoping for face to face meetings by May - June time in the US, so perhaps this will be the global way forward?
