1970s Teesside Airport

Not directly MFC-related, but I am sure many postersof a similar age will enjoy this photo of the bar at Teesside airport as much as I do..........instant memories of the glamour of waving my grandparents off as they flew to Spain. Half a coke and a bag of salt 'n' shake crisps and a couple of goes on the cutting edge Space Wars arcade machine before going outside to the little viewing balcony to wave to them as the walked out to the plane.

Flying out from there to watch the Boro at Eindhoven was a special moment. Never seen so many planes parked up by the terminal. 747's, the lot. We had to walk to our plane and it took bloomin' ages. Loved every second of it. Our airport and us lot going to a European final to watch the Boro from there - magic times.

Took some getting home though didn’t it.
