No, but certainly post 1960's.What , even when we got 40-50 thousand in the 50s?
In living memory for most.

A little bit different these daysThere was 1 seat of segregation between Boro fans and Norwich fans that day and no trouble as I recall.
I don’t get the stuck in basket thing, I thought they timed out after about 10 mins?Officially there are now no tickets to buy for Chelsea game. I hope the Club are helping those who have tickets stuck in baskets e.g. where applicable asking them to come to the Ticket Office to pay.
No, they only brought about 30 to the Riverside and were very quiet.Brave lad. Were they as bad as they seemed?
Saw a lad on Twitter the other day asking for £125 for 2 tickets as well. Scruffs trying to rip off proper fans.Just seen some clown trying to sell 2 on FB to the highest bidder, thinks he's retracted it after hurls of abuse.
If you see this ask for details of seats etc and then report it to MFC who will cancel the tickets without refund.Saw a lad on Twitter the other day asking for £125 for 2 tickets as well. Scruffs trying to rip off proper fans.
I think you're right about the official attendance, but it was a real scrum getting into the Holgate - the usual squeezes and people climbing over the wall from the hospital..... Couldn't move once you were on the terrace. Still, what a great atmosphere and result!I did think of the Oxford 1967 game that would have been over 40k home fans - I think the official attendance was 42k. I was not old enough to go to games then, but reading reports the last 10 games of the season a real head of steam was built up with 5k going to away games which was bigger then than now.
No segregation in 50's and 60's, think I read somewhere that segregation was first introduced at Ayresome around 1976....though obviously groups of fans used to congregate together prior to that. What , even when we got 40-50 thousand in the 50s?
Not sure on that, I can't find the official breakdown but Premier League away teams were entitled to 10% of capacity and it was a festive fixture.
If Norwich took the full 10% of that, there were 31,352 home fans.
That could be beaten on Saturday if segregation and card troubles haven't hamstrung us.
I'm expecting there to still be thousands of seats used for segregation though.
Boxing day wasn't it? I was there. I remember Danny Mills winding them right up.
There was lots of people not happy as they had just turned up on the day expecting to get tickets.
