I try to make a mental note of the devotees of this cobblers and then know I can generally discount their opinions on other matters - which is a shame in the case of Randy because I'd like to believe some of his claims re Covid19. Mind his pro US,war mongering haven't helped in that direction either!

Hes been on the UFO speakers and guest circuit, expos, videos , films, documentaries, book deals for 35 years. Also Erich von Däniken, Steven Greer, David Ike. They realised a cash cow, much like a dollar rich TV evangelists

Let's get this right. They have designed a craft to travel unthinkable distances in seconds. Quite a big leap forward.

They then decided that Earth is the most interesting place anywhere.

They get here. Decide not for us without leaving any evidence and go back.

They happen to do it in the millisecond in space time that man is here.

I am convinced there is other life, it could even be on one of the moon's in our universe.

But the rest is BS.

If they can travel unthinkable distances in seconds, its more reasonable that they would observe a planet inhabited by space-age civilizations.

No different to why we observe wild animals, curiosity.

Not pro US, I am anti-communist.
Anyways that is going to distract from the thread.

There will always be believers of aliens and non believers. Same as those who believe an entity created the world and all that live on it in 7 days only to try and destroy it with a flood.

I’ve only seen a couple of docs/programs of him but it states that he hasn’t really had much public involvement with anything

If a grain of sand is put on a table, a second grain is then smashed and one part put approx 2 ft away that represents our universe, the other nearest star is 7.5 miles away.

And the earth isn't flat.

I am very tired, so hopefully that’s why this makes absolutely no sense to me

Is this not representative of our solar system rather than the universe? I read that If our earth was a grain of sand then the sun would be a pool ball 6 metres distant.

With the advent of private enterprise now going to space .. SpaceX, Blue Origin, Virgin etc .. if there is something out there .. if ... (a BIG if) .. then the chances of something being seen by non-government / miltary types starts to rise ..

Elon Musk, for instance, has a tendency to just blurt things out from time to time .. if Aliens from the Planet Zob were sitting in Orbit - could Musk be convinced to stay quiet about it? Could those working for him? If Musk is intent on sending X-thousands of people to Mars in the next few decades (whether he could or couldn't isn't the point - that's what he wants) .. then that's going to be a lot of people going up into Space and if the Zobbians are there watching - then we're going to soon know about it anyway.

So I tend to think that the government in the US is trying to get ahead of the game. Drip information out so that they aren't caught out the next time Elon Musk goes on the Joe Rogan podcast, smokes a spliff and then blurts it out ..

I wouldn't have thought there was much debate around the fact that we are not alone in the universe. The issue is the size of space. I believe the universe is 90 billion light years wide. With current technology it would take 6,300 years to reach our nearest neighboring star, Alpha Centuri and about 5 hours to reach Pluto. It would take 13 trillion years to get to the edge of the observable universe.

The 13 trillion years ignores the fact that the universe is expanding at faster than the speed of light. So even at light speed it would take an infinite amount of time to reach the edge of the observable universe.

Between solar systems there is vast amounts of space, between galaxies even more.

Right now there is no solid, accepted theories on how the light speed barrier can be broken, in all known theories there is a barrier to FTL travel.

The chances of someone visiting planet earth from another planet are tiny, to be frank. However, the multi-verse theory has quite a few backers at the moment, and nothing in QM theory or the mathematics disproves it, in fact it supports it, so perhaps what we are seeing is not visitors from another planet, but visitors from another universe.

In actual fact the chances of visitors from another universe is much more probable than a visitor from a distant star system.
