Were the words I heard uttered behind me after we went 1-0 down. The same person was quite happily celebrating at 3-1 up.

Where do these cretins come from?

What lesson were we going to learn?

We were far from our most fluent in the first half half (first 10 minutes were decent) but we didn’t deserve to be 1-0 down at HT in my opinion. Sloppy defending and a loss of tempo were to blame but we had our chances.

The second half, we were clinical and sublime at times! When we get a head of steam, we have the ability to absolutely destroy teams!

I agree with that mostly (from your thoughts that is), although I thought Hull were an excellent team playing neat triangles pushing us back and their goal was coming. Whilst we had our chances first half, I thought they deserved their lead after those first 10 mins. That last sentence is something that sticks in the craw and rare for me to say, but I thought they were the better 1st half team.

The injuries to Smith and Forss turned out to be an odd blessing, especially as the gaffer has seemingly found Isaiah’s Mojo in wherever Wilder hid it and convinced Dijksteel he is the Dutch Cafu.

I agree, Coluka.

Thought Hull were very good and some of the passing movements turned us around a few times.

Overall though they didn’t test Steffen that often. They edged it but still thought it could have been 1-1 at HT. It certainly didn’t warrant the rubbish being said behind me! 😄

I was delighted with the impact of Dijksteel and Jones tonight. Always rated Dijksteel and he offers so much more going forward and has the physicality and pace to deal with good wingers.

Jones looks like he’s rediscovered his MoJo. He can only be a huge asset for us for the rest of the season. Not sure why people were so quick to write him off. A player of immense talent who was having a rough patch!

Annoyed me that the boos were quite audible at half-time, although they could have been aimed at the ref to be fair.

Thought he had a stinker and hated the way he blew for a foul every time one of their players threw themselves to the ground.
The Referee was garbage. I think a lot of the boo’s were probably aimed towards him rather than the team.

There were jeers throughout the second half when we occasionally got a free kick awarded. Consistently give them soft free kicks and us nothing for similar / worse offences.

Ref was crap, did Akpom win one free kick? Hull took him down every chance they could.

They soon stopped throwing themselves to the ground once we smashed a few past them.

I made a comment on the match day thread, words to this effect:
’the ref let play continue when they upended 3 of our lads (Tommy, Marcus and Hayden) but blew for a foul when their lad, Vaughan I think, stood in front of Howson on the edge of their box and was breathed on and went down (like a sack of spuds I want to add) just before half time.

It just seemed shocking to me.

some people are really not that clever and gladly cut there nose off to spite there face

The boos annoyed me at half time, especially when we are on Sky. Just makes us look a bit pathetic and spoilt.

If you're going to boo the ref then wait for a little while and do it as he's walking off the pitch so that it's clear it's not aimed at the players
Nobody booed where I was in the South West. It seemed to come from the West but didn’t last and wasn’t very loud either.

Some people are frankly idiots! What a ridiculous comment to make.

The booing baffled me, it's not like we were playing badly either, Hull edged the first half but we had plenty of chances.

I'll accept that some will have been booing the ref, but surely you'd do that as he's walking off the pitch rather than immediately on the half time whistle.

Liam Rosenior: "We had complete control in the first half. Their fans were booing before half-time because they were frustrated."

If the Hull manager thinks the fans were booing Boro, the players will have too.

We did not play at all well in the first half, but this manager and his side deserve patience, faith and support, not immediate reaction to a below par outing.
Second half was an absolute joy to watch.

I am getting really irritated by so many people leaving so very very early, even when we are playing so brilliantly and scoring great goals.

I get the travel arguments to a point, but this getting the kids away on a school night is just rubbish, they are already going to be out late - does an extra 15 mins really matter so much.
I know people can do what they like and "they've paid their money" but it is strange behaviour to me.

They do live amongst us - Facebook at half time resembled the Somme. You'd have thought the people commenting hadn't watched a minute of football under Carrick.

It will be the same cretins complaining they can't get a ticket for the home leg (or even Wembley) come the time.

Agree about those leaving early. What is the point of going to the match if you leave 5, 10 or 15 minutes early. The amount of people doing it is terrible too.

Well, moving a game from a 7:45 to 8:00 to accommodate Sky telly might just have been the tipping point for some, I don't know. I think 7:45 is too late for an evening game anyway. 7 or 7:15 would be much better.

I suppose 15 minutes can soon become 30 or 45 if you get stuck in traffic, which is a bit late for some kids.

But I sit with a group, some of whom leave on 80ish minutes every match (even on a Saturday afternoon) regardless of the score which I just find bonkers. But some people aren’t actually into that much, they go but they’re not fussed.
