I have to admit I am fortunate in being out of the country for the first quarter of next year for 3 months. Arguably the worst quarter for energy bills. Not sorry to miss what will be a sobering time for one and all.

If you’d said a couple of years or so that energy bills would be the largest household expense - well you would have been laughed at. Now? It is a scenario that will become a reality. Sad and worrying times

I would have thought a households biggest expense would be their mortgage/rent but energy is doing it’s best to take top spot.
