With that exemplary record, I really don't care that he had a few drinks then lied in the HOC about it.

A little too realistic, my friend! I had to check your posting history, as I was in danger of contributing a second mahoosive *WHOOSH* to this thread. This is exactly what they're already saying.

Except of course the Daily Mail is the Conservative Party mouthpiece and will of course not bother headlining with this photo despite hammering away at Starmer on their front page for the past week. It makes no secret now that that is what it is. Basically a political pamphlet.

It might just as well be embossed in blue and fed through your letter box like all those other party mail shots you throw in the bin at election time

Starting? I gave up when the Brexit result came through. The 52% actually fell for the lies that were so blatant it was unreal. Johnson would have thought "if they will let me get away with this I can do anything" and so it has transpired.
 
The hope that the Tory MPs have is that Johnson will wriggle through this and in future be a bit more careful.

They've learned nothing. The balding honey monster will think he's invincible and continue to do as he pleases. My only hope is that he kills his own party while doing so.

There is a certain part of that party, normally the older guys, where you do wonder whether they believe it or not. I think they probably do.

However there is a wing of his MPs who will be after him now. Baker and the anti lockdown brigade will be gunning for him.

If only that was the full list of ****-ups this government had made. To that, you could add the P&O fiasco, Rwanda, education, the no ships contracts, sewage in our waterways, railways betrayal, health care, Tory sleaze and pornography, housing, etc, etc,

The list is endless and is a lie after lie, broken promise after broken promise and none of the above involves the issues that the Brexit fiasco has brought.
 
How can they say it wasn't a party. It's one thing raising a quick glass as a gesture to a colleague who is leaving but when you look closely at the picture there are several open bottles of wine on the table.

We are being taken for fools and it needs to stop. This is such a dark road we are on right now as a nation.
 
Reading about this this morning, you can’t help but feel really angry to the point where your skin crawls. This bunch of Tories are an absolute disgrace.

Criminal behaviour, dodgy contracts, racism, the constant lying, xenophobia and unethical behaviour. The corruption, greed, duplicitousness. The porn-watching in the commons, the collusion with the police, the security breaches, the staggering levels of ineptitude and incompetence. The tax avoiding, the corporate theft, the stripping away of infrastructure, the abuse of expenses and second homes and second jobs and directorships, the open door between huge corporations and news outlets and government. Channel 4, Jennifer Acuri, the links to Russian money. The terrible, terrible stuff they’re putting through in private when we’re not looking and not being informed by our news media.

This is without the car-crash that is Brexit. And the treatment of the elderly and vulnerable at the start of the pandemic, when he couldn’t even be arséd to attend COBRA meetings and boasted of shaking hands with people in hospital. Eat out to help out. COVID loans fraud. Stay at home but go to work.

Stay at home while me and my big fat, racist, disgusting, lying, self-serving set of horrible sack of sh*t mates get p*seed on your taxes. Your mam’s being buried alone, in silence, while I’m necking wine you paid for and shoving expensive cheese into my big fat racist mouth. And I’m laughing at you.

I imagine a lot of people, myself included, won't "move on" from the fact the standing PM not only broke the law but knowingly lied about it in parliament.

Pretty sure there are, but most of them are bots on twitter or Johnson cultists who are desperate for this story to go away just like you suggested.

Problem is, unlike you, most people want to know the truth and will continue until that truth is exposed, regardless of how long it takes or how much "tabloid space" (said as if there is some kind of finite amount) it "wastes".

I massively care that whilst I was unable to see family and friends who could have done with some face to face support that this absolute husk of a human being was living it up and getting drunk with his mates and laughing at all of us.
