Dimi.

It still annoys me that he never got a single game in the Premier league after he made such a contribution getting us there. Especially with the season being a right off anyway it would of just been a good thing and a classy thing for the club to do and gave him the chance to have had at least a premier league match on his record after the work he put in to get us there.

I have a Dimi goalie shirt unworn with tags (no name on the back, just number 1) DM if anyone wants it. Size L.

As great as he was in the promotion session he had some obvious weaknesses, primarily being slow across his line - he was beaten too many times from distance.

I made the point on another thread recently about Jason Steele , who AK jettisoned pretty early on, but who had gone on to prove he's a very good keeper. I would have liked to have seen him stick with Steele, I think it was a mistake moving him on.

That final PL game where we played Liverpool and we were already relegated he should have played ! Valdes had already buggered off and about 2 games before that the clown Guzan, let 3 goals through his legs in one game in a 3-0 loss
I was certain they were going to bring him on in that game.

When we were down we were losing at home to Southampton. Guzan committed an offence and quite a few Boro fans were chanting 'Off Off Off'
Whether it was more dislike of Guzan or wanting Dimi to get a run out in the Premier League...

Brilliant keeper.

The goalkeeping situation in that PL season sums up the messed up thinking in my opinion. Looking at the squad photo pre-season we had 3 in the photo. Dimi, Valdez and Guzan.

Totally stupid situation. Dimi was class in the promotion season and deserved his chance.

Southampton at home in front of Boro fans in the 2nd last one would have been good too
