Vasectomy

There are far too many ‘the anaesthetic hadn’t kicked in fully’ stories on this thread for my liking.
Aaaayyyyaaaaaaaazzzzzzzz!

As this thread proves there are lots of different experiences.

Mine was very straight forward.. just felt like I had my undies on wrong for a couple of days afterwards and that’s about it.

Good luck with it!

I went to a private clinic in Hartlepool, think it cost £90 at the time. I thought my balls were going to explode when I was half way back down the A19, black and blue for a fortnight.
The surreal bit was where the nurse had to shave my balls as apparently I hadn’t made a good enough job of it. 😛

Bit odd chatting to a nurse up the top end whilst Johnny Knifeman made sushi down below, walked like John Wayne for a couple of days. Nowt to it.

Mine was pretty painful. Had to have a 2nd injection and it still hurt. Felt like someone was pressing hard on my belly whilst squeezing the boys, really hard!

I had the same experience with anaesthetics, could feel him knifing my sack then pulling my insides out, when I jumped he went wild with the needle and I didn't feel anything down there for 3 days...he did start with the classic "didn't realise it was that cold today" upon first glance at my little fella. Same as other very tight pants is the way to go

I tried to get one, hitcthe roof when the doctor started twisting things (separating the tubes).that procedure got called of and I was told I would need to be knocked out for it.
Anyway had the surgery last year, was in and out in the day. Felt no pain at all as I was asleep.
Then the drugs wore off. Wasn't so much painful, just very uncomfortable afterwards.
Felt like I had an extra set of knackers with the amount of scaring at the time.
The swelling and scoring lasted a few weeks.

Slightly uncomfortable/weird at the time.

Wasn't painful afterwards. Just be careful lifting for a few days.

I forgot (because I was in no pain) the next day and took my dad somewhere. Lifting his wheelchair in to the car boot reminded me for a day or two, but I was totally fine within 3 days even with that error.

Friend 1 - No pain, slight scratch, over and done with before he knew it. Not alot of pain or suffering after, if any.
Friend 2 - Slight pain and took 2-3 weeks before he felt upto testing it out.

I was due to get it done but it got pushed back and back, then the mrs just got the womans version done so saved me a job.

I didn't have the best of starts as the bloke before me came back into the waiting room and fainted which didn't help my anxiety about what was about to go down. The actual process and recovery were fine; ironically it was being injected with the anaesthetic (you know, the thing they give you to numb the pain?) that knacked. The short delay between the agony of him injecting the first one and gearing up to go into the second was the worst two seconds of my life. My wife seemed to enjoy it though after having been through 2 long labours with me sat drinking tea and eating biscuits beside her. 😁

The doctor who did mine seemed to enjoy his work though. Was surreal as he was listening to Radio 2 while doing it so all I could here was Steve Wright playing the 'Mahna Mahna' song as he got busy with the syringe and scalpel. I still can't watch the Muppets even to this day.

Never felt a thing, I was "put under"

Was a bit sore for several days at work having to climb over steelwork and pipes :( :ROFLMAO:

Was a bit embarrassed to be lay there with a big 'bonk on' while he was working away! Took some small wabs with me as advised and struggled to tuck it all away. Also, was a bit weird having the butch nurse slide me budgie smugglers up me legs!

I'd rather have another vasectomy than another filling.

Drove myself there, drove myself home. Don't really remember any pain afterwards, but do remember when the doctor accidentally touched the outside of my scrotum with whatever he was using to cauterize the tubes 😳😳

Had mine done the day we played leeds away this season - reason I remember that was we were one up when I went in and the nurse there was a bloody leeds fan (probably why it knacked)

It didn't hurt when they were doing the right one, but it absolutely knacked when they did the left, apparently this is a thing and happens to a small percentage of blokes, However the pain is sharp and short so all over quite quickly. Aches a bit after and looks a bit disconcerting with the bruising.

But nothing compared to the pain of realising we had lost when it was all sorted and the Mrs was driving me home!

Getting a referral at the moment is

Yeah I tried to get one last year, waiting list was quite a while, the wife had a few health issues going on and asked for a sterilisation, hers came through before mine so I got away with it.
