I ended up in the Chelsea end.
What a wonderful bunch of supporters.
Great to see the magnificent Boro fans out singing them at end, and oh how it annoyed them.

I caught the back end of some podcast and they were talking about the ZDS/Simod cup and I’ve never known it was brought in whilst English clubs were banned from Europe and that Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Spurs never participated in it

Still angry with my dad for not taking me. In his defence I was 6, but still......
What a welcome from the Chelsea fans too.....from the abuse going up Wembley Way....to being shoved in a stairwell whilst queueing for (obscenely overpriced) grub as their fans came marauding through at half time...to the aggro in the streets after the match..... I was only a 15 year old girlie and petrified

Great day but my overwhelming memory was the realisation that our national stadium, a place that looked so impressive when I'd seen it so many times on TV, was actually a rundown sh!thole. It was like a film set, just a facade. The place was made of cardboard.

Remember a huge brawl at the top of Wembley way and police smashing lads with truncheons after the game.
Remember lads kicking **** out of each other at half time in the concourse.
Chelsea lads seemed very angry and you could cut the atmosphere with a knife before and afterwards.
It really spoilt the day out.

Was 20. Thought I would never see the Boro at Wembley, tear in my eye as the teams walked out. Match was irrelevant. Shame Brucie was sacked between getting to Wembley and the final.
Met the players at the services on the way back and got my programme signed by most of them, including Pally who had travelled with them. Nice bunch of lads.
