Red faction statement.. ticket prices

It's a bit pathetic really. How can you go from planning a walk out to just accepting it and moving on with the club not giving any concessions? By the time this year's walk-up increases have been announced there will be no saving for a family attending the Riverside.

Gibson should be utterly ashamed of himself. The prices are ludicrous.

It's not red faction in the wrong here...
I do think they could have continue with the original demonstration though.

We are still way over priced and lots more could be done to improve it.

Disappointing that nothing further could be done across the board on ticket prices. Feels like the disconnect is getting bigger between fans and club despite the statement put out by RF. Feels like it's no longer a local club for the local community but more a local club for people who can afford it. This club should be far better run than it is and more income would be generated to offset some of the costs that are being passed on to the fans.

It’s panned out exactly as I thought, club throw supporters a bone (u18 freeze) to quieten them down, promise to talk to them next time, and ignore fan groups pleadings for lower prices as they’ve done this time, just keep kicking the can down the road.
Guess fans will vote with their feet, Gibson will be looking at a lot more empty seats next season, my guess is ST’s will be 20% down

Does anyone really believe fans will have a say in anything going forward, least of all ticket prices. Gibson has spared himself the blushes of a mid match protest by offering as little as he could. Think he’ll get a shock at the end of March though.
Are we on the TV against Norwich, could be embarrassing if people walked out then. Sky would love to see us do that.

If a walk out didn't get cancelled then yes I believe it would of been a huge statement that would of really brought some more serious action.

Scary thought, if we continue to play as bad as last week, get dragged into a relegation battle and then get relegated, we would have the highest prices ever for league one.
No club is big enough to go down

Gibson has taken the p1ss with his prices for far too long and it's finally going to bite him on the @rse big time. This saving on Under 18's walk ups is nothing, let's be honest. Fair play to RF for trying but there will still be the ridiculous £1.50 booking fee (per child) and adult walk ups will probably go up even further again to ensure Steve isn't really out of pocket.

Well done lads for having the balls to stand up in the first place, including other fan groups.
Now that “connection” with the Chairman has been established, it can only be for the good, moving forward.(y)
To all those who sit on the side of the highway complaining Red Faction didn't do enough: I say get off your arzes and get involved!

Just feels like a standard workplace. Disgruntled workers chat amongst themselves at how bad things have got, finally get a meeting with the gaffer who spouts hot air about how great and important the workers are and they everyone falls for it and carriers on as normal.
Personally I’ll be renewing with my 9 year, simply because he loves boro, whether we would be non league or in the prem. I probably need to have my parenting skills questioned to get him involved in the boro 🙈 let’s see how next season goes, make or break or a fair few long term loyal fans I think.

Thing is mate, they were told they would be involved last season about these sort of things and they weren't, will the next increase be any different.

All the fan groups were talking to the club last week but all the fan groups and indeed the club were shocked by the levels of abuse that spilled out at the end of the week.
Everyone has stepped back now. Nothing is worth that atmosphere and people being hounded out. Boro fans hounding Boro fans. It is totally wrong. 20 years after the Carling Cup win we cannot be tearing into each other.
