A couple of lessons learnt today…

Naively thought a week's training with O'Brien and Mcgree back available would have led to a more coherent strategy today.

The longer we have off the worse the team plays 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thought it was a poor team selection from Carrick today.

Not sure what's going on with McGree but he simply has to find a way to accommodate Forss up front, Azaz as a 10 and Hackney in midfield.

I'd have even been in favour of Silvera starting on the right today, to accommodate the above players playing in those positions.

That first half was shocking by all apart from Ayling. We could have been 3 - 0 down.
We could have been six down, we should have been three down but for Glover’s reactions coming out for that one on one where they should’ve scored. Although I wouldn’t argue if you criticised him for the second.

The club has said McGree has a chronic injury issue (ongoing plantar fasciitis). McGree has said McGree has that chronic injury issue. Soccer Australia has said McGree has that chronic injury issue. I know football fans love a conspiracy but I think being “not sure” about this one it’s pretty hard to justify.

Complete balls up from carrick today
Obrien Barlaser and Hackney were like strangers until it was changed round. Don't think much of obrien to be honest.

Adding the third central midfielder has made us surprisingly defensively vulnerable. Get back to our best 2 central midfielders

mcgree howson Hackney and forss has to be the 4 across the middle

Fair enough but my points still stand regarding his other selection decisions.
