It’s not going to be Biden v Trump, is it?

I’m really starting to believe that Biden is NOT going to be the one going up against Trump when it comes to the crunch.
This will be a good thing, won’t it? Too many Americans have little confidence in him due to his old age and the signs of deterioration seem to be becoming more prevalent. His successes, such as the state of the US economy, do not seem to be cutting through. Is the fact he’s running actually boosting Trump’s campaign?

So, who is going to step in and wipe the floor with Trump, as everybody sane is surely hoping for?

It's actually really depressing to see.

I don't keep up to date with American politics, but even I've seen loads of videos on social media over the last 4 years of Biden repeatedly having what could at best be described as senior moments.

I'd always assumed it was exaggerated by the opposition.

I suppose it's no surprise that having an 81 year old as the most powerful person in the world might run in to aging issues.

I said this earlier on another thread before this story that 2 gaffs this week does not inspire confidence of someone on top of their brief, he clearly is declining from outside looking in but was told he is a great debater and will wipe floor with trump… he might but trump will just turn up and say whatever he likes he won’t even need to be briefed. Biden is an accident waiting to happen in live debates

This piece taken from your link is frightening and makes you wonder who is in charge at the moment.

But the special counsel concludes it would be difficult to convict the president as he comes across as an "elderly man with a poor memory"

Exactly them words are stark and trump can play the fact that Biden now has been accused of doing exactly same thing as him… fact he couldn’t remember when he was VP or when his son died is pretty bad

I just feel the need to inform you the special counsel is a Republican and Trump initially gave him his job

Another major gaff overnight as he broadcast a response to the the report... Trying to defend himself and his term in office he mixed up the president of Egypt with the President of Mexico when discussing the current events in Gaza.

They are literally handing this election to Trump

No they're not.

It’s a scary thought but I really really fear if trumps opponent is Kamala Harris and it is a black woman he’s up against as make no mistake that will be a factor for some in the us as awful as that sounds.

I think this story is a big opportunity for the democrats to replace him. Someone like Gavin Newsom, I think they would beat Trump quite comfortably

They need to do something, Trump is an absolute moron criminal, who shouldn't even be being considered by the Republicans, but that's another story and he's sort of got them over a barrel. The problem is Biden just gives the republicans far too much ammunition to point the finger at him, not so much pointing the fingers at the democrats. In reality him not being able to get his words out sometimes shouldn't really matter, if he can get key decisions right with the party support etc. But it does matter, and people will be thinking "what's he going to be like in 5 years"? He might not even last 5 years, and they could end up with someone "unelected" which we know the far right will have a big problem with.

The last couple of years was the ideal time to bring someone else in, and give them some time, whilst Trump was going through all the crap, but it looks like they've missed the boat. If things go as they are I think Trump will win, which is a ludicrous thought.

I've no idea who they could replace him with, as I'm not up to speed on their other contenders, but there has to be someone who the press can't get after easily, surely? Surely a younger candidate, would be far more appealing to younger voters, which could win them the lead back?

Being an easy target for the press is one of the biggest problems that people from parties on the better side have to face, and it's more than enough to sway an election. A lot of the right seem to vote for people, or against people, rather than voting for policies etc, it's nuts.

Taylor Swift, Mark Zuckerberg, Serena Williams, Logan Paul or the lead singer from Green Day.

Sad to see the state of US politics particularly the way Ukraine aid has been delayed because of the GOP doing Trump/ Putin's bidding.
I cant see Trump getting back in he has to many Felony charges against him (91 in all) only one needs to be proved and he is in the slammer.
I think the moderate vote in the USA will come out in force for the democrats and save us from the potential of 4 years of absolute global mayhem at the hands of MAGA..
