It’s been a long time since I’ve been in awe of an away team at the riverside but Brighton looked like champions today they were awesome.
Fulham are nowhere near Brighton's standard. Brighton are an established Premier League side with quality players including one of the best players at the World Cup. Fulham are a yo-yo side. Higher than our standard, but nowhere near Brighton.Players gave up in my eyes. Hull played fulham , a similar standard to brighton and didnt concede 5 at home. I bet sheff weds dont concede 5 vs newcastle.
And a billionaire owner...Just shows what a small club can do with the right infrastructure and managment, and luck in having a number of good players in a particular cycle
Nah, we didn’tWe seemed to throw the towel in second half.
Unacceptable.
I have no problems with provincial clubs like Brighton having rich benefactors to make their teams competitaveAnd a billionaire owner...
Championship side says to premier league side 8th in the premier league as they bring on a World Cup winner from the bench.. “ ok guys.. enough is enough.. we’re going to play 442 now, you probably haven’t heard of it! Oh, and we’re going to put on one of our 2nd string left backs..”I thought the substitutions today were terrible,
2nd half would have gone 442 , brought Bola on and pushed Giles onto wing . Likewise Jones on other flank , why were Howson and Chuba playing 90 minutes risking booking or injury.
I agree, just seems like a billionaire owner is a prerequisite to get established in the prem these days.We were outnumbered in midfield and that allowed them to play little triangles for the entire game

Every club in the history of football has won things by spending more than the other teams, thats just reality
Not got a problem with today's defeat, but I wouldn't attempt to disminish our results against United and Spurs either.Manchester United were in absolute disarray last season. And Spurs were not doing much better. Both slacked it off against us and we had lucky breaks, in both games (United failed to put away numerous chances and Kane had a very tight offside call go against him). Brighton are in great form and put the effort in to beat us.
There's no shame in that defeat, despite the scoreline. It's not a big deal as long as it doesn't affect our league form.

I loved both victories and this isn't diminishing the results. To win a game against a Premier League side, especially one near the top end of the table, you need a stroke of luck. You can't mastermind a victory when there's that much difference in quality. Not got a problem with today's defeat, but I wouldn't attempt to disminish our results against United and Spurs either.
