Does anyone else accept we are in a relegation battle?

I am really worried we could go down.

A yes man appointed who took an age to decide.

A head coach bailed out by Neil Warnock as we were heading to league one at pace.

Never been so underwhelmed by an appointment.

Nobody else has ever made a move for him.

I think this is going to end in tears.

Papa Johns 7pm kicks off next season.

I think we are doomed.

I hope I am wrong.

Think the majority of the fan base are fairly happy and excited by Carrick. He hasn’t completed his backroom staff yet. He’s a 5 time premier league, champions league and europa league winning England international and a fantastic player who has had coaching experiences under some of the biggest managers in world football at arguably the biggest club in the world. Let’s just see what happens. I for one I’m excited and behind the Carrick era.

Let’s go Boro! 3 points to start the Carrick era on Saturday

Of course we are in a relegation battle, but at least we now have a new manager and I really wish him well.
I've no idea whether he will be a good appointment or not, but I wish him well

We don’t have a manager, we have a head coach. The terminology is important. A head coach will have no say over recruitment.

UTB.

It’s possible that we could drop of course but anyone who seriously thinks this squad is bottom three material is having a laugh. Any half decent manager could comfortably get this side into the top half at the very least. Carrick needs to hit the ground running though or it will be a tricky second half of the season - there’s no guarantee he will succeed as a manager of course

You do realise we’ve spent the majority of the season in the bottom three?

On what grounds do you name him a yes man?

We are in a relegation scrap but there's a hell of a long way to go - if we're where we are now come the next transfer window I'll be worried.

He might have all those credentials, but he’s got a different type of squad here.

If we are going down the route of a novice, premier league champion then John Terry has more coaching experience than Carrick.

Carrick seems a timid yes man to me. He is very lucky man that Gibson has taken a punt on him.

I was in the anyone but Dyche camp.

But my word if somebody said Woodgate was close to a return I would have rushed to the Dundas Arcade to pick him up from his security job at home bargains.

Absolutely pointless sacking Wilder and Warnock.

Would rather not have John Terry thanks. Not sure where you are getting this yes man chat from. Carrick has had enough coaching experience for me to be given a shot. Don’t write him off yet.

In fairness he made a big call dropping Ronaldo when he was interim manager at Utd.
