Pitch Invaders

Drury was incensed on commentary and let his feelings be known in full. He wasn't impressed with the lack of response from the stewards either.

Considering the timing of the invasion, might it have been a case of "If Forss scores we're on the pitch"? In which case they're even more stupid, as the goal was ruled out and now they're (presumably) banned.

This lad filmed them on the pitch - starts from 19 mins 40 seconds.

Looks like a few idiots in the south were applauding them but the majority were booing.

Might not be the worst thing.

Obviously grown men being able to behave themselves in a society would be preferable.

But given that doesn't look like a possibility for some fans a hefty fine might focus Gibson/Bausor's mind a bit and convince them to spend a bit more on making the stewarding more professional. From what people are saying it sounds like they've just dragged people off the street and put a hi-vis jacket on them.
 
It is ridiculous how far they got unchallenged, even if they had a few stewards hand picked, as specific security to deal with this type of thing, we say it every time, people aren’t getting searched, what if one was carrying a knife or even if not decided to try an assault one of the players, this needs reviewing.

We said the same as one day one of these numpties will attack an oppo player or have a go.

As you say I thought we’d have one or two stewards who are quick enough and are there to run on and could bring down these idiots in a forceful manner if needed.

I think you find they were clapping the stewards attempting to remove the idiots from the pitch. Certainly, no one within 10 yards of our crew were encouraging them. The idiots came from the North stand as far as we could see.

Can you realistically expect a Steward on what - £30-50 for the night? - to be keen to tackle a knife armed fukkwit? I think the tactic is let them make prats of themselves and get them off as soon as it is safe to do so. The crowd has obviously turned on this behaviour. Compare with the way that kid who ran on to get a photo with Tav was greeted by the crowd to (just about) everyone chanting "w@nkers" and "get off" at these two.

Or we could get a falcon. Train it to identify scallywags and for every scally that is pecked the falcon is fed a field mouse.

What a sad person, going to the match and filming himself/the match for what ever purpose.

Why not just watch the game and "enjoy" it.

I know he's not hurting anyone but dear me......................
