Could tonight see either of the two Managers get the push tonight?
Leciester look most likely - their fall to rock bottom goes against relative successes and performances - since winning the Premier League title in 2016 and the FA Cup. As we know today - Boro sacked Wilder......Rodgers is on borrowed time for far worse results. The rumours are that Leicester cant afford to pay off Rodgers...?!
This could be one big night for either or both Steve Cooper and Brendan Rodgers.
Rodgers took Leicester to the Foxes first F.A. Cup win and Steve Cooper dug Trees out of the mire, after Boro got Hughton the sack.
Leicester have a defence which just cant hold the points. They`ve been ahead on several occasions, but fall to bits in the second half. They dont concentrate or just switch off.
Brendan Rodgers has a real dilemma on his hands: the Foxes chairman, in a recent match programme, put his thoughts on the season and the state of the clubs current finances to the fans.
His company was hit badly by covid and Leicester, in spite of good recruitment, havent had the money to buy in players. Some clearly need to move on.
Cooper, on the other hand, has reportedly spent £160,000,000`s and brought in 23 players, including Dean Henderson, Morgan Gibbs-White and Jesse Lingard
Trees had a number of important loanees to help lift them up from the Championship, but Forest are finding it hard this season to get used to the Premiership, particularly with so many new players. This is a huge test for Cooper, with a substantial investment from the owner. If this season goes t*ts up, Forest may have to pay the consequences of taking a big financial risk. Lets see.
Forest and Leicester are holding up the rest of the Premiership.
