If the manager feels we have more chance of rescuing a point by putting McNair on ahead of a £3m striker signing as our last sub then what is going on?
He definitely has thrown he toys out of the pram and the atmosphere behind the scenes is probably awful for that reasonWilder is being deliberately provocative and pretty disrespectful to the likes of Forss. He is making a point and it shows how little professionalism he has.
There is a concept in business of disagree and commit - argue your corner as hard as you like while a decision is being made, but once the decision had been made, everyone commits and does their best to make it work. Was out recruitment good enough this year? Probably not, but bitching about it forever serves nobody.
Come on, he hasn’t had a chance under Wilder. He hasn’t impressed in the few minutes he’s got on the pitch tbf, coburn looks a better bet. This is definitely a case of wilder sticking 2 fingers up at the recruitment team (whoever they were over the summer given everyone is claiming it wasn’t them)
Same with hoppe. They weren’t Wilders first choices (like Matt Clarke) but forss and hoppe were all we could get and rather than wait for better they just bought them half knowing we were struggling to get anyone better in all positions. If the manager feels we have more chance of rescuing a point by putting McNair on ahead of a £3m striker signing as our last sub then what is going on?
Exactly it’s nothing new at this club. Surely we need to actually bring in the players the manager wants or find a manager happy to work under this type of ownership. Two promising strikers being wasted and 7 million down the drain for the clubto be fair our Managers have done this for years.
i remember Jordan Rhodes regularly coming on for the last minute of a home game.
Sick of these 'domestics' between our hierarchy and the Manager.
Need to be all bonding together
Just remind me how many goals McNair has scored please?I don't disagree with bringing on McNair. He can create chances and score from distance.
But I don't understand why he doesn't play Forss. He has the pace to get in behind and should link up well with Akpom and Muniz.
But he’s rubbish, as is HoppeWilder is being deliberately provocative and pretty disrespectful to the likes of Forss. He is making a point and it shows how little professionalism he has.

They weren’t all we could get, we could have got other targets but the recruitment team and Gibson overruled the manager to target players who fitted their preferred criteria.Same with hoppe. They weren’t Wilders first choices (like Matt Clarke) but forss and hoppe were all we could get and rather than wait for better they just bought them half knowing we were struggling to get anyone better in all positions.
Terrible transfer window really.
Mowatt, Clarke hoppe forss all basically 3rd rate….
Or…they is downright ‘war’ behind the scenes with Wilder and his attempts to engineer a move away and Scott and Gibson are essentially making the decisions for the future and barely consulting wilder goading him to quit and then he gets no compo
Probably the first scenario but things are not good at our club
