Wilder Rumours

Firstly, I'll proceed by stating I have absolutely no inside knowledge, tipoffs etc but have been reading this thread with interest.

Seems to me that we might be guilty of looking at this the wrong way round, but understandably i.e. from a Boro perspective. Regardless of what may or may not have happened "in the background", could any of us really have a problem with Wilder leaving to takeover an EPL club currently sitting 12th?

Yes we pay his salary currently, but just like any other player/staff member, why do we expect loyalty in this instance? The vast, vast majority of us would have our heads turned if a similar circumstance occurred in our working lives so why do we hold someone to a higher benchmark, just because their career revolves around football?
 
Bizarre choice if correct. Surely they would have just kept Parker? Smacks of Woody's stint there, which ended terribly for all concerned.
 
We had a decent run in the cups played some good football last season then this speculation over Burnley came up ended up out of the playoffs and we have been quite literally a shower since then. This season has not gone too well either has it. There is definitely something a miss here, is it boardroom squabbles over players budget etc, is Wilder's heart really into this project, are the players we currently got now any better than last season. It won't happen but Steve & Chris need to get in a press box together and tell us what's going on between them cos this stuff is going to go on until they part ways. I don't normally listen to Talksport but Simon Jordan thinks CW will walk if a better offer comes in and he won't have any hesitation on moving if its a Premier League team.
 
The thing I don't get is that the Sun and Mail are saying Wilder is top of their list, while according to local journos he's not even being considered by them. Pure speculation.

Because those journos are saying he’s top of the next owner’s list, not the current one. The local/Boro journos will say he isn’t on Bournemouth’s list as it stands, but I doubt they’ve asked the American who’s trying to buy them. Personally I’d expect O’Neil to be appointed and then changed once the takeover is complete.

I once worked with a girl who had been a production team member on Most Haunted. She told me quite a lot of interesting stuff. Basically, Acorah was actually tipped off where they were going beforehand, so he could research relevant historical figures, ghost reportings etc, and Karl was responsible for a lot of the noises and movement and stuff as he’s some type of stealth ninja. Apparently he’s one of the leading martial artists in the country in a certain discipline or something .She did say the Pendle (?) Hill one did **** them up and there was definitely something weird going on there. Ciaran O Keefe also stitched up Acorah and proved he was just a fraud, but that’s obviously widely known anyway.

I've read that the potential new American owener is keen on Wilder, but the takeover won't be complete until around the time the league pauses for the World Cup.

Any successful manager is going to be linked with bigger jobs, we all know that's how things work, but he's had a very inauspicious start to the season, which I thought would have dampened any interest in him. He does have a good reputation in the game though.

Interesting thanks did she mention the sound man the ginger one I forget his name ( Shaun maybe) as he really hammed it up and seemed to be part of the inner circle of the crew.
 
Rob.. ..you keep on about speculation etc etc ...... you know as well as everyone else, the burnley link was not speculation !
CW told us at the time he'd been out for tea with gibbo, neil and keeran.......what he didnt tell us, was that he was going to tell them about leaving for burnley, but sh!!!t out 👍

I think the final straw for Acorah was when they fed him the name Kreed Kafer before a filming. Course he soon summons up the spirit of Kreed Kafer, or "Derek Faker" in anagram form...
 
People on a football message board can’t quote or link to football journalists about happenings at their own club?

We can only quote MFC or employees of MFC?

People can bury their heads in the sand as much as they want. Something isn’t right and I believe fans have a right to be concerned and comment on those concerns. If fans don’t want to read rumours… Do not click on a thread titled “Wilder Rumours”. We get told all the time to not click on threads (political threads) if they don’t interest you, same here.

Yep, I believe it was a made up name that Ciaren o Keefe fed to the crew, in order to see if derek would become possessed by him, thus proving he’s a fraud 😂
 
Have we not been here with every manger since AK? Dissatisfied with recruitment. Players signed manager clearly doesn’t want. Having to fill 10 spaces each summer.
