Anthony Joshua Agrees Terms to Fight Tyson Fury on December 3rd (or not)

Crazy comment, why especially Lewis?
The only way I’d see Lewis getting to fury is with his right cross, fury is so fluid and adaptable I think he’d make light work of him. He’s a natural fighter. It’s just opinions though as it’s something we will never see which is a shame. Would be a hell of a fight.

Lewis is comfortably the greatest heavyweight we've ever had. He has an excellent amateur pedigree and is many times the fighter most of the opponents Fury has ever faced.

This isn't anti-Fury more astonishment at your willingness to write off Lewis who is our best ever HW, a genuine all time top ten and in many peoples eyes a top 5 of all time.

Fury got knocked down several times by Wilder who has nowhere near the skillset that Lewis has. Lewis was also an explosive puncher but had top level skills to go with it.

I appreciate Fury has some of the best footwork in HW history yet he still got put down by Wilder who is very, very limited and reliant on one single punch.

Lewis fought far better opponents that Fury has, which isn't the fault of Fury as you can only face what's in front of you and this era is a little light on talent. However, for my money a prime Lewis beats Fury and beats him comfortably.

If Wilder can land a punch or two on Fury....then it's a pretty safe bet to suggest Lewis could!

Landing a punch on Fury shouldn't be up for debate TBH. It's whether Lewis would win.

Personally I think (assuming both boxers are in their prime and at the top of their game) Lewis would win comfortably.

And I rate Fury a lot!

Fury is good but he's definitely beatable.

Lewis was far more powerful than anyone Fury has faced. His jab was heavy, set up most of his knockouts.
Yes Fury took some big shots against Wilder, but its not the same as been hit in the face 10 times a round with a solid jab before being hit with a devastating straight right or uppercut. Lewis had it all.

Good post agree with it all.

"which isn't the fault of Fury as you can only face what's in front of you"
Unfortunately I don't think Fury has always had the desire to get the best fighters in front of him. Hopefully he will do himself justice and make sure he fights AJ and Usyk within the next 18 months.

According to Fury's Instagram AJ has until 5pm to sign. It really looks like AJ is swerving it. On his Instagram he has filming himself shadow boxing in a CoOp yesterday. Maybe if he wanted the fight he would have been with his lawyers?

Sad day for British boxing - it would have been some spectacle whoever won.

AJ may as well retire if he's holding out for easy fights and easy paydays.

Neither AJ nor Fury are covering themselves in glory here. Why’s Fury putting a sudden deadline on the contract?

So painfully obvious that this fight wouldn’t get made but I live in hope.

Why not he’s the champion, to be honest AJ should be happy to be in the same bill as him let alone have a shot at his title.

If I was Tyson I’d walk away if not signed now.

What does AJ want.

Don’t forget in his last 4 fights AJ HAS LOST THREE OF THEM.

Oh fully aware of all that. I’m a big Tyson fan, I was at the Whyte fight and at his talk at the Stockton Globe.

But he’s becoming tiresome, if you are going to offer the fight then just be patient and see it through. This is boxing, he’s not daft, he knows how the game works.

AJ is still a massive draw and this fight has huge appeal.
