Perfect storm coming for Boro….

Selling Payero and Tav without bringing in replacements. Promising the fans marquee signings then not delivering. Bringing in ‘development’ players and then not playing them despite one being 24 and experienced in this league and the other being the same age as Muniz. Telling everyone on Tuesday that we need three players bringing in and then not signing anyone. Leaving a big part of our business to the end of the window when everyone was scrapping for the same players at inflated prices. Not prioritising midfield for replacements which has been a problem for years. I could go on but 10 (including 2 keepers) in following 15 going out doesn’t make any sense. Our midfield has been decimated.

I think it leaves us with a perfect storm. Wilder must be absolutely hacked off, the players must be wondering about our ambition and not understanding the messaging, Gibson must be unhappy with Wilder’s comments if there was a doubt that we could bring in the right people and the supporters are boiling because they feel like they have let down big time.

To make matters worse we have the worst possible game coming up next with Sunderland who are on the up managed by someone who always does well against us. We then play Blackpool away with over 3,000 fans going.

I don’t think it’s impossible that Wilder could walk as there is clearly something very wrong and we won’t get into the top six with our current squad in my opinion.

I don’t disagree that we have been left very light in the middle of the park.. but I do wish people would stop saying we were ‘promised marquee signings’ when that clearly wasn’t said…. Unless someone can show me otherwise

If we lose it would not even be on the first couple of pages of all time Boro lows.

But the toxicity levels will rise massively, and even after 8 games a large % of the Boro fan base will be calling for Wilders head. Going to be very, very hard to come back from it unless we put together a ridiculous winning 8 out of 10 type of run.

Personal thoughts for Monday - frustrating draw.

All this "Wilder may walk" lark.

He's a football manager well paid by the club to use the resources at his disposal, if he can't or won't do that, then he's not as good as his hype suggests. If he wants to flounce because the club haven't pandered to his every wish, then good luck to him, and we'll bring someone in who wants to manage this great football club whilst appreciating there isn't an endless supply of money and we're not Man City.

He's not working with a load of kids here, apart from maybe 1 midfielder he's got pretty much the squad he's needs / has asked for and so he should have them much higher in the league than where we are currently if he's half as good as we're led to believe.

Rob I’m an eternal optimist always have been but even I know if they score first it will be toxic.

Losing to them managed by mogga to see us go one win in 8 wouldn’t be an all time low no but it wouldn’t be good.

They won't score first. We'll beat sunderland.

I honestly think the current players will step up, they seem a good bunch.
