The Hot Weather Madness

So that’s a NO then 😁 you’ll happily sit on a plane chugging tons of carbon out an then go preach to everyone how we all need to stop being so selfish 😵‍💫 you’re not alone of course, i suspect the vast majority on here would look at you as if you were mad if you asked them to stop hopping on a plane for their jollies every year. I suspect the matter will be taken out of your hands eventually when the inevitable carbon credits for travel comes in.
My point is I'm still "average" as an individual, even with more flights than most. I'd happily pay more for flights, if the flight companies can off-set that in some way.

You happily gloss over where I offset about 100x that carbon in other ways through with what I do with my company or how I help others, something which the vast majority can't or don't do. If everyone did that, we would be in a much, much better position.

Set an example - if you really care stop flying. Doesn’t matter how much you pay extra you’re still chugging out carbon by the ton. Just because you’ve got money doesn’t make you an exception - honestly some people 🫤

It all seems a little bit Covid-y. Remember those early days when it was "just a flu", people were still shaking hands and the media were reporting empty shelves...

Makes me laugh when people say " we are ruining the planet for our children ".
But having children is one of the main reasons we are ruining the planet. I wonder how much carbon you would need to offset for each child you have.
We should certainly be limiting to 2 children per family max. But, that will stop our economic model.

All natural and technological processes
Proceed in such a way that the availability
Of the remaining energy decreases
In all energy exchanges, if no energy
Enters or leaves an isolated system
The entropy of that system increases
Energy continuously flows from being
Concentrated to becoming dispersed
Spread out, wasted and useless
New energy cannot be created and high grade
Energy is being destroyed
An economy based on endless growth is un-
(Unsustainable)
The fundamental laws of thermodynamics will
Place fixed limits on technological innovation
And human advancement
In an isolated system, the entropy
Can only increase
A species set on endless growth is un-
(Unsustainable)

What sort of economic model will we have when the climate change predictions become a reality?

I love this crap.. imagine how how it was, way before records began.. and 44C roofie? I doubt it, you need a decent weather station (with a good solar radiation shield) in the shade to record accurate temperatures.

No idea, but I'd assume the greed of individual people, largely the 1% at the top will see similar to today but with even more extreme consequences for the masses

How about some figures instead of "imagine", that isn't how science works

Missed the point again I see, probably intentionally.

If you offset more than you create, or massively helps others off set, then you're doing way better than most. I'm probably doing a lot more than you, for example, even though you fly less.

Which is the better return?
I take £10 from you, but give you £1000 as a good gesture for the loan, and you lose £5 down a drain
