The Jubilee

Really looking forward to the weekend, we're having a street party, though we actually live on a road 😉
My wife is on the committee of 4 woman who, together have over many hours, knocked ondoors, in our road, organised games, bought flags, banners, my wife has made a 3 tier cake with the crown on the top & the queens guards of honours littered around the cake, fantastic dedication from her, made buntibs, party bags for the kids

Not a royalist at all but happy to celebrate what the day stands for

We have been given money towards the day, which anyone could have applied for through your council ward, hopefully our councillor will call in on the day with the evening gazette reporters who will be taking photos of many partied throughout the region

Not overly fussed with the Royals........ a relic and an institution based on servants and slaves and blind obedience. And beyond that the cover up for the Nonce is disgusting.
But in our village of 530 people over half of them are getting together on Sunday for a knees up and few beers.
No mean feat to get all those people together many of which will not have met each other.
That can't be a bad thing no matter what the excuse.

It's my own fault for watching, but dear me, live TV and replays of royals arriving in cars and walking up the steps into St Pauls with commentary and punditry that makes the football commentators and pundits seem half decent :)
Need more replays of Harry and his wife :)

Johnsons booed into the Cathedral this morning.

Significant. No surprise at all this. He's been taking the p1ss for too long and the majority of the public have had more than their fill of him. This will be a patriotic middle class crowd outside St Paul's too not what hes bound to call "left wing agitators". Even his wife's dress sense was out of keeping with the occasion.

Yes. even Radio 5 live just now said "There was a chorus of booing heard as Boris and Carrie Johnson arrived at St Paul's ...but there was some cheering as well" (I didn't hear any).

Get off your high horse, man. It's a photo from many years ago, used for comic effect. Some might say it's in questionable taste, I'd see it as satire. Either way I'm not going to be part of your circular and aggressive argument. Ignored.
I know I am talking to myself, but it was a joke at my own expense,

The fact it flew over your head I am sorry for, the fact that Korkythehypo and his right wing three group didn't either makes me feel better.

Time to join the party in our street, have a good one.

Almost unbelievably, Nadine 'Brain Of Britain' Dorries has tweeted "there were far, far more cheers" than boos. Erm.....does she actually think there's something wrong with the public's hearing?
