I agree it’s irrational but it still worries meWhy would they do that though?
To keep him fresh for the Prem opener in a little over 3 months time?

They might rest him next season for the start of the championship 2023Why would they do that though?

Yes, he did. But that's not the issue. Fail to score = AT LEAST 2 points lost every time. Boro have failed to score 12 times so far.
There was an interesting interview with the Fulham manager on R5. He said the stats show that in the championship the highest scorers are always promoted. So at the start of the season they set out to score as many goals as they could, win as many games as they could and worry less about goals conceded. And Fulham are promoted.
Bournemouth are likely to be second. Maybe Forest. They are the second and third highest scoring teams.
Boro's defence is ok, it's comparable but it's the goal scoring that's so far off.
As much as I would love us to make the play offs. I certainly wouldn't fancy our chances against Sheff Utd. They absolutely destroyed us at their place.
If we do get there we’d have won the last 3 games so will be in some sort of decent form.Disappointing but we can hopefully take it to the last day at least.
If we're honest does anyone fancy us in the play offs, even if we did get there?
You would think Boro just got beat the reaction on here. Win tomorrow and Fulham beat Luton and Monday it’s still possible we can over take 2 teams on the last day. It’s a great position to be in and if it doesn’t happen then so be it but I would still prefer to take it to last day rather than throw the towel in nowHope those who think it’s over aren’t going tomorrow, it’s still on.
No I don't but still hope we can get there and see what happens.Disappointing but we can hopefully take it to the last day at least.

Sorry I've edited. Didn't really explain it well. Been a long day!Well they're pretty much the one team we definitely won't face? If we're in, they're not. And vice versa.
I like this thought.Well they're pretty much the one team we definitely won't face? If we're in, they're not. And vice versa.
The start of the season also fecked us. The defeats at home to Blackpool and Birmingham. The abject displays at Reading and Hull. They are not forgotten. It's not tonight that's fecked us. It's the last month.
Coburn should have scored in the last min against Fulham
Lumley howler against Hull
Tav and Connally missing great chances at Swansea.
You don't have to go back to Barnsley etc. It's the last few games.
That said. We can still win both and hope Fulham ain't on the beach (they could be champions by then). Hopefully Mitrovic is still on for a goal record and they don't rest him.
Win by 4 goals is a bit optimisticNothing has changed after this result, it's what most of us expected.
Win by 4 goals tomorrow and Sheff Utd will know a draw at Fulham is not enough if we also win at Preston. Will also put pressure on Luton if they lose at Fulham on Monday
Well, we need the crowd to get behind the lads more than ever tommorrow, none of this flat nonsense, we need goals and a few of them, we play to the end!!!
We aren’t beating Stoke by 4 goals. When did we last beat anyone by 4 goals.Nothing has changed after this result, it's what most of us expected.

If you say so Diego it must be.Win by 4 goals is a bit optimistic
Ok cheers for letting me know. I won’t bother going now.We do not have the balls to win tomorrow.
Wouldn’t say I’m too optimistic. Just sick of negativityIf you say so Diego it must be.
