Is anyone still arguing that Lumley is not a liability?

It's just not possible to defend him with that goal, he made a half scuffed shot go past him before he could move like it was from a prime Roberto Carlos.

I'm guessing best of a bad bunch.

I can only presume he's in ahead of the other two because he's better with his distribution (I'm maybe stretching😂)

Lumley has been poor, and cost us points, but we have to stop putting him under unnecessary pressure. We’ve done it pretty much every game since Wilder came in and still haven’t realised that he’s not Allison or Ederson.

A new keeper will be a priority for next season, but for now we are stuck with Lumley.

Been decent recently at the sweeping side of the job Wilder needs him to do. Still shocking at actually keeping shots on target out of the net though.

Years ago I used to scoff when people described a goalkeeper as "a good shotstopper". Used to think well that's the bare minimum, they can all do that otherwise they'd never be a goalkeeper in the first place. But then after seeing Betty last season and Lummers this I suppose not.

I was wondering who would revel in the mistake he made today and this is a pretty predictable thread.

He has talent, that's impossible to argue, but he makes too many mistakes, which seems to be the story of his career really.

I think it's quite easy to argue he doesn't have talent on his performances for us.
He must have one of the lowest save percentages in the league.

I don't mean clean sheets, I mean actual saves from shots on target.

I don't mind his sweeping role, but his main job is to stop shots and he very rarely does.

There was no pressure from that shot today.

My granny could have got down to save it.

From where I was in the South West it was hard to see how he didn't save it. I said to my son he must not have seen it until late, but having seen it again it was a poor mistake.

Never said there was.

But multiple times each game we pass back to him when he’s being closed down and he has to scurry out and boot it out of play. It unnecessary

I don’t think people are revelling in his mistakes. But if he’s going to keep making them, are we not allowed to mention it?

We aren’t putting him under unnecessary pressure, he’s facing basic shots and still making a mess of them

Who is revelling?

I am pointing the blatantly obvious, as I have been doing for a while despite people denying Lumley is a liability.
