FIA give green light to new demolition derby winner takes all event!
Ludicrous lack of consistency.
A ridiculous 'circling the wagons' decision from the stewards to save opening a can of worms as you say. Very poor from the rule makers yet again, no consistency, no transparency. Not surprised, political decision as granting would have opened up too many cans of worms for the FIA and stewards who have no doubt made a mistake in not investigating the incident when it happened.
Expect as LeClerc said, overtaking on the outside is going to become an awful lot harder now, which is great at a time overtaking is hard enough as it is.
Hopefully Bottas has the same memoHow can they reject the right to even appeal it when almost identical incidents have been punished?
Anyway now it’s fair game for Verstappen to just take them both out if Hamilton is faster this weekend
It would be great if he just runs him off at the first braking zone and takes them both out......Hopefully Bottas has the same memo
Well it's all legal now so he might as well.It would be great if he just runs him off at the first braking zone and takes them both out......
Verstappen will feel emboldened by this, what's the odds of a crash between him and Hamilton in the last 3 races? Scandalous. The stewards have denied Mercedes request.
Toto says he's not surprised.
Currently a very testy press conference going on between Wolff and Horner.
Bottas can just drive them both 10 meters off the track at turn one for every race we have left now. Wonder if RB will still be saying let them race then considering they wanted Hamilton banned after SilverstoneHopefully Bottas has the same memo
They are the most hypocritical team aren't they?Bottas can just drive them both 10 meters off the track at turn one for every race we have left now. Wonder if RB will still be saying let them race then considering they wanted Hamilton banned after Silverstone
Max would benefit so you can assume he'll take the opportunity if it arises. Like MonzaVerstappen will feel emboldened by this, what's the odds of a crash between him and Hamilton in the last 3 races? Scandalous.
Not really. Not when the green light has been given to run people off the track. It's a fairly important rulingCan we all focus on what promises to be a great weekend of racing now? New track, new challenges.
Disqualify Max and Red Bull for the season. Would that make you happy? Or European Court of Arbitration? Run people off of the road? Yes I forgot that was the majority opinion of racers, pundits and public alike. Wait it isn't, it's split 50/50.Not really. Not when the green light has been given to run people off the track. Think we just want to see good racing, if that kind of thing is allowed then we will just be watching unskilled rubbish where faster drivers are just ran off the track if they try to overtake on the outside. Basically a faster version of touring cars which certainly isnt entertainmentDisqualify Max and Red Bull for the season. Would that make you happy? Or European Court of Arbitration? Touring cars aren't entertaining? I know you didn't mean that.Think we just want to see good racing, if that kind of thing is allowed then we will just be watching unskilled rubbish where faster drivers are just ran off the track if they try to overtake on the outside. No of course they are, but lets be honest the standard of racing is shocking at times. Its not what we want to see if F1. Just imagine these rules when the likes of Mazepin get a car quick enough to overtake....Touring cars aren't entertaining? I know you didn't mean that.
If the stewards, lawyers, officials and the tea lady have all made a decision then what else can Mercedes do? The championship is going to the last race that's for sure.
A decision was made not to review who might be at fault. Surely that can be challenged based on new evidence that may have influenced that decision. From what I read last night, the argument is a legal one. Can they overturn a decision that was never made?
So the new evidence would be irrelevant in that argument.
