If Any Future Lockdowns- Should Be The Unvaccinated

Legislation would make it a "legal" action.

The ridiculous hyperbole over denying access to entertainments (e.g. excluding the unvaccinated from attending gigs or indoor sports events) is hardly analogous to incarceration. If those who choose to not take the vaccine are a bit upset because they can't watch their favourite boy band at the local arena then tough. I don't think that is at all draconian. I'm all done with the stupid parallels with some sort of Police State. FFS take the jab or do without seeing Kylie for a few months.
That's not what the thread title says. It suggests lockdown for the unvaccinated. That means confined to your home except for essential journeys. That's what lockdown means.

People who support this don't care about the maths or the science. They want to blame someone. They are looking in the wrong direction.
What I'm reading from it is, it makes our lives harder so just lock them up so I can do what I want.

I'm double vaccinated and I wouldn't support locking up the unvaccinated, my wife isn't being vaccinated through choice and I respect her views.

The truth is it wouldn't even do that. Too many vaccinated have low levels of protection from infection and transmission now. Boosters aren't quick enough. We would have to be able to give boosters every 3 months to the entire country.

I am keeping hold of this thread for future reference.

Posters showing their true colours here and then claim this is a tolerant board, don’t make me laugh.

Recent reported research show that your viral load at peak of infection is no different between the vaccinated and unvaccinated and the subsequent tail off from the curve is very slim at best. To add in the fact your classed as unvaccinated if you fail to keep up to date with your boosters is a sickening threatening concept no decent society should employ.

Your vaccinated, protected from covid apparently but not protected enough from those who haven’t had the injection? Laughable and brainwashed to the max.

Lock me down and when cases STILL continue to rise because the selfish treble jabbed won’t become quadruple jabbed will you shift your hate to them instead?

Just know you’ve sold your soul, integrity and character at that point. There is no going back. It would be hypocrisy to wear a poppy and continue to support these measures.

I am only glad this board is an echo chamber for some of the hate it spews and does not reflect real life in anyway.

Exactly.

Nobody has answered my question about Austria yet which is very telling.

When cases continue to rise in countries that have segregated it's population into two groups what then?

Spot on, yes we all have choices but if your choice is not to be vaccinated well fine but keep out the way of others for the near future

Expect it will more be hospitalization data that will be the important figure to show if it works or not

Not exactly in support of it, and it will be impossible to enforce. But it is frustrating that ICUs will be full of people who mostly could have avoided it if they were vaccinated, especially if we get to the stage where hospitals are running at capacity

If we get to a point when hospitals are having to cancel operations because ICUs are cluttered up with unvaccinated people then I think there's a strong argument for locking down the unvaccinated (by choice) people.

Of course the main issue is that the NHS has been chronically underfunded so it doesn't take much to overwhelm it. The real villains are the tories who have slashed it to the bone for the last 10+ years.

You asked "what happens if..."

Silly pointless question that is unanswerable and best ignored as of no value. The opposite question that you might care to answer; what happens if lockdown of the unvaccinated is a proven success at reducing deaths and hospitalisation, would you support the same sanctions in this country?

Don't bother, it's as silly a question as the one you seem to think has confounded the finest minds on this board...

I think Its fair to say a lot of the naysaying and "resistance" to what is going on, comes from self interest whether it's for financial gain or basic ego boosting. You only have to look at the States and all their angry middle aged rebels demanding all sorts of rights that don't exist and crying hoax in the face of the world's largest death rate! And of course over here we had the massed ranks of the beer belly battalions bravely attacking the BBC at a building they left some years ago!

If locking down the unvaccinated reduces cases to whatever a manageable level is then it shows the vaccine works better than lock downs or social distancing etc.

You've deemed my question a silly pointless question because you don't have an answer for it.

Serious question to those against vaccine - Do you get your children vaccinated when babies with usual vaccines?
Or do you disagree with all vaccines?

No one is against the vaccine, they're against creating a segregated society via vaccine passports and locking down the unvaccinated.
Exactly this I am fully vaccinated with my booster booked. I am absolutely against vilifying those who chose not to get vaccinated. I am against this for 2 reasons. Firstly it won't work. And secondly why would any society want to be 2 tier. Where does that particular path lead? The government would love to have us at each others throats. Now EU citizens can't be blamed for the countries woes, let's get another scapegoat.

“The government would love to have us at each others throats”

Paranoid nonsense.
