Just sack him now.

Really odd to not want him to succeed and write him off, to be plain. I as stated above have concerns about how we've handled Warnock's self-proclaimed retirement season, but no one would want this season to end in a top six finish more than I would. I will always want every Boro manager to do well with the squad available to him.
Of course I want him to do well, but that hope is long gone. Look at our form this year, we have no chance of top 6. We have players here the club has spend a fortune on that he can’t get anywhere near the best from them.

Make the change now and we might still have a chance this season. The longer we do nothing we are just throwing another season away

He has shown nothing this season to suggest he can do anything other than mid table at best

Apart from being in 6th spot this time last week...

Anyone else jumped ship tonight? It's never too late to admit you were wrong to back Warnock.

He's a busted flush, hasn't got the players fit enough to play 90 mins, and we fell apart again in the second half. He asks too much from physically them because we generally have poor possession allowing us to get a breath. IT's the flip side of being counter attacking you have to be ultra fit to keep compact without the ball and to get up and support the attacks.

We got bullied second half, and were just not organised as a team to cope with any kind of pressure.

The bullishness of "3 wins on the trot and 6th in the table" has utterly evaporated, and we are now 14th and we have lost 5 of 9. We have West Brom away net which I think could be Warnocks final game. Then Millwall who are organised and physical. We're sliding and I don't see how Warnock will stop it.

Get him out, get someone new in with more technical and tactical football to suit the players we have.
Great analysis like always Mart. I jumped ship after Hull, that was a team in meltdown but am a little bit back on board now. Tonight was just sloppy but we weren’t that awful.

The fitness is concerning, as is the inconsistency and the fact we can’t get results against anyone halfway decent, but for me there’s more signs of a football team in there than 6-8 games ago.

Paddy was terrible today. He was LCH and disappeared on numerous occasions.
We should have been 2-1 down at half time due to them targeting our weakness at LB LCH.
Bamba played well , apart from the goal where he marked a player who had no interest in getting the ball leaving a free header for the biggest threat on the pitch .
Bamba should always know to go for the ball , not the man . Experience ?
Thought McNair was ok tbh. Brougt the ball out from the back, looked to pass rather than hoof. Crooks at fault for first. Mixture of Crooks not dealing with the ball into the box and Tav not closing down for second. Tav just crap for third. Not saying McNair was amazing but to single him out as a poor performer when 6 or 7 were far worse is strange imho. Howson cant play in midfield and Crooks just cant play full stop.

Sorry Ted, not singling Paddy out , but I see it came across that way, he had no support on the left, and Hernandez should help out more , but doesn't because he is naturally right footed and an attacker not a defender.
They should have been 2-1 up at half time through back post weakness.
That is a team/ management fault, not just Paddy.

I was there tonight and thought Paddy was really decent in the first half. Funny old game

Legs were clearly gone at HT. Cant understand why he was left on. Booked early too so timid of challenge.

Hernandez anonymous. Howson anonymous. Worrying capitulation
Both had good first halves as did the rest of the Boro. We failed to step up and get that second goal, they nearly got the equaliser if it wasn't for Howson. They changed gear second half and beat us to every second ball. We needed a Saville or Morsy in there.

Agree. Hernandez is strange. Involved in almost everything first half. Didnt get a kick before going off second half. Tav, crooks Howson worst for me. Centre of Midfield doesnt exist.

Paddy and Howson are on good salaries as are Tav and Dael.
We could reel in some wonga from three of those - my only concern is we probably will.
No loyalty in football.
Everyone has their price - no matter if they signed a contract last week or last year.
Reel in some wonga? And buy who? Tav, Jones and Fry are the inly players we have that have some value. They may choose to go next season. But getting good replacements these days is a massive issue.

I see little point in sacking him now unless the right appointment is available. We are not going down, we are not making the play offs. Lower mid table finish and work on the next manager and make the right appointment.

Is it him though really?
Look at the state of our decimated squad (even when fully fit).
It's obvious Gibbo just wanted us to tread water for a season or three.
Just got to suck it up

Imagine if we actually had more than one left back. We could play 4 at the back and not play attacking players as fücking wing backs. The manager and recruitment team have to take the blame for not having a squad capable of coping with the rigours of the championship.

I can’t think of any other team doing that. It’s ridiculous when you think about it. At least give Kokolo a go. The one thing this shïtty season has shown is that you can trust the kids. Jones and Coburn have been fabulous and I really wish we would give the likes of Malley more of an opportunity. We have nothing to lose now, its pretty clear we aren’t going up and will probably not go down. Let’s start planning for the future now.

It was a ridiculous decision to allow Coulson to go out on loan without knowing for definite that another left-back would be coming in. I'm sure Coulson would have been reasonable about it, if Warnock had have basically told him that he could go out on loan if we bring in another left-back. If Coulson was still here we could have gone with a back 4 tonight.

It was another ridiculous decision to sell Morsy and not replace him. I know he divided opinion but I'd still sooner have him playing the holding midfield role, ahead of Crooks and Howson. A player who could actually do the dirty work.

If we still had Coulson and Morsy at the club we could have potentially gone with a back 4 tonight, and had Jones and Hernandez playing higher up, either side of the striker.
