She was even better against a very game opponent today. Every match has been a step up in quality from the previous one. First ever qualifier to reach a semi final at the US Open. That’s some achievement.
 
They say she’s the first in history to reach the semi’s from the qualifying rounds

surprising to hear that and really shows the difficulty of these tournaments and the standard you need to be.

Nobody was arguing. It was a fact. She has now proved she can live with the best by beating a top 12 player. She has now jumped 20 places in the rankings and is Britains top ranking player.

Didnt say anyone was arguing. It may or may not have been a valid critique of her progress, that's a matter of opinion, but it was an opinion that has been voiced, and she has now 'blown it out the water'by beating the Olympic champion in straight sets. Well done her.

She did. And she quite clearly was having a panic attack. Playing superbly well now, good on her!
