Brother in law attacked at match

He’s local but a Pools/QPR fan (long story but chose QPR when he was a kid as his ‘big club’) nice lad never been in a spot of bother.
Anyway he was with his two kids, 9 and 7, walking back to the car chatting with Boro fans when bunch of young lads attacked him, hit him on the back of the head with a can then set upon him. He has an emergency dental appointment this morning to see what they can do with what’s left of his teeth.
His biggest concern is his kids and what they witnesses - they saw their dad beat up at a Boro match. He said there was plenty of Boro fans who were sound and helped him out but it’s left a nasty taste. It was the youngest son’s first match at a ‘big stadium’ and one he’ll never forget unfortunately.

So big up to the fans who helped out but the less said about the scumbags the better

There was a group of young QPR fans who were very vocal and tbh drawing negative attention to themselves by taunting and laughing at Boro fans after the game leaving the away end.

It is not a crime to celebrate your teams win but sadly their loutish behaviour draws attention from other louts. It is sad that the innocent often get targeted because of the antic of the guilty. So necessary.

That's horrific. I hope these are found out, prosecuted and banned from the Riverside for life.

I also hope your brother in law ends up ok. Really sorry for him

Total and utter lowlife scum, they are not supporters of MFC they are thugs who deserve to be caught and the book thrown at them

So sorry to hear this, that’s absolutely awful. Hope your brother in law and his kids are alright.

Unfortunately there’s seems to be an element of this creeping in. Lads who are only going to the match to get tanked up, cause bother and don’t give a shït for anyone but themselves. I’ve noticed it these last two games and hoping that it’s just a novelty for them that will wear off.

Feel like I know this bloke is he a barber?

Absolute scumbags. It's definitely something that's creeping back into the game (along with racism etc).

Although it's not just football. Unfortunately these big groups of lads (often 14-15 year olds) are happy to kick off over nothing and due to numbers and you don't have a chance.

I'm a bloke in my 40s and even I think 'here we go' walking back from a night out if I see a group on teenagers. Simply nothing anyone can do if they all kick off. Unfortunately it's almost impossible for the law to catch them (also what would they even do?).

To do it with his children present is just mind boggling. How can they think it's 'fine' even if they have had a sh*t upbringing (the usual excuse).

Sounds like the innocent have suffered for the actions of yobs on both sides
